    So glad you mentioned about the red in what comes out of the body! When I made beets for the first time I freaked out! lol This looks good... will try it soon and I love the boiled egg idea! It will be great to serve on our Canadian Thanksgiving! Thank you for this video! From farmer country of Saskatchewan

      I typically gauge it to one pound of beets per jar. I hope that helps!!

    Is there a reason you don’t cut tips before you boil? I’ve never pickled beets I need pointers

      I’m glad you asked!! If you cut the tops completely off, I’ve noticed that the beet will bleed more, or lose a lot of the juice in them. Once you’ve boiled them, the skins will peel off and then you can cut the top off as you slice them for in your jars. Hope that helps!!
