    I need to start having check-ins for goals.

    I have only recently understood these values. Aimless direction only goes in circles, follow your dreams and goals by achievement of small tasks, but always remember the end objectives.

    Also, if you're neurodivergent: This may be difficult if you were taught to grow out of it as a kid, but let yourself set the unrealistic goals that give you loads of dopamine!
    The important thing for us isn't the EXACT goal --- it's the dopamine and general sense of direction!
    Normal goals and restricting yourself to what is "realistic" is boring and results in quitting early.
    You want to remember your goal and have energy when you think about it.
    Also, set systems. Goals are important for direction (reminding yourself of _why_ you're doing the thing); systems are important for actually doing the thing.

    As someone who read Atomic Habits, I'm more of a "Systems instead of Goals" kind of person. Though I suppose my 'goals' are simply called "useful habits". Also gotta unlearn the unhelpful habits!

      Wait i don't get your point of view, are you saying like accomplishing daily goals is turning into habits in your life? If that so... Then
      How can be big dreams turning into habits?

      Your goal is to build effective and sustainable systems. Same as me 🤝

      if after 6 months your still looking at your daily goals it's not a habit. The key is to be like Nike and just do it

      i agree i have to give a speech about atomic habits and 1% better each day rather than pie in the sky goals

      @channelchannel405 if I understand James Clear correctly, if your big goal/dream was to say ‘lose 30 pounds by the end of the year’, your daily habits might be drink 3L of water, exercise for 20 minutes, eat three nutritious meals a day’. These become part of your daily routine or system.

  • @hughsalter7769
    @hughsalter7769 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    according to james clear goals are not important what is important is systems and getting 1% better each day

      That’s not the case, goals precede systems
