Wow, only $200? My classmate married in 2002 and she bought a simple dress for only $99. It was not bridal though. My sister in law married in 2001 and rented hers for around $1000.
She’s getting the dress she loves. She wasn’t going to settle for less. The dress on her phone was it. Pinina was going to make for her that dress so everybody was happy!
the VAST majority of these dresses cost a fraction of their price tag to make. i've seen brides cough up $5k for a dress i've literally seen on etsy for $700. i've seen brides settle for overpriced cookie cutter dresses because their dream dress didn't exist and it didn't occur to them to commission a seamstress for 1/10th what they're paying a boutique.

It is a monumental mistake for any bride to buy a dress sight unseen regardless of who the designer is. Countless brides have come in absolutely in love with a gown they saw online or in a mag, and yet, when they try it on, it doesn't fit right, or look right or it just doesn't live up to the bride's mental picture of how she'd look in the dress.
Same for any clothing to be honest. That's why I'll never buy clothes online unless it's a sweatshirt. Returns are a pain in the butt for online shopping, if you can return it

Women who try so hard to be not themselves don't have a lot of confidence in who they really are, and that is unattractive- as is looking like you're in the early stages of anaphylaxis. No one "needs" any of that, beyond basic hygiene and grooming. Women just tell themselves they do/marketing tells them they do. There was a marketing expert who pointed out that entire economies would crumble if women looked in the mirror one day and said "i love me the way I am". And it's only to impress other women too, because a man actually don't care and many prefer the natural look.

Idk if its just me but sometimes pnina is a hit or miss some of their dresses are just ugly and some of the dresses are gorgeous
I think there mostly trashy looking. Lots of corset type gowns, which I'm not a fan of.
I think most are ugly. Some are ok but the prices are outrageously expensive.
