I'm waiting for it to open in Anaheim but I'm not optimistic for the reasons you mentioned. The lack of storyline is a missed opportunity to win over Splash fans and I think it's destined to be a huge disappointment. It'll be ok in the summer to get wet but it won't be a priority for us otherwise. I really miss the Splash soundtrack as well on the ride and in the park. Sad that we lost Splash for this. I need to go to Toyko and ride Splash since they are keeping theirs.
Splash was at least top 3 in all of WDW. So fun and without it I just assume go to Universal. Dudley Do Right falls is fun and the Harry Potter theming supplants anything Disney has left to offer
