@@zdiii3795 Kyrie's goated but there was an actual discussion for Finals MVP in 2020 whereas Bron was always number 1 with Ky, even then Ky's only lead a team once and it was pre-Lebron Cavs when they were far from contenders
bron and AD were just other worldly. AD wanted his first chip and bron was pissed he got only 1 vote for regular season mvp. Either one would have been well deserved of the finals mvp but bron led entire offense with his IQ and also just took over games whenever he needed to. it was helplessness seeing him going on a 12 point run all by himself time and time again whenever the offense get stagnant.
They did run it back as much as possible. They couldn’t just get the same team back. Rondo was going to get too much money in free agency and the whole team would be exhausted because there’d only been 7 weeks between the end of the Finals and start of training camp. Especially with Rondo gone, it would be insane to want to go into another season of Bron and AD being the only shot creators with the entire weight of the offense on their shoulders when they had no time to rest. So they let Dwight and Rondo leave. Picked up Marc Gasol who could play next to AD without messing up spacing and take some of the bruising center matchups. Got Trezz Harrell and Dennis Schroder to get additional shot creation so AD and Bron weren’t overtaxed. And they signed Wes Matthews to replace Danny Green. It was a great offseason considering the unique circumstances. Couldn’t have done better imo. But unfortunately even with the extra precautions, the short break still caused AD and Bron to deal with injuries all year. And the loss to Phoenix made the front office panick and the following offseason was the disasterclass.
if anthony davis stayed healthy that year lakers wouldve made a run. people forget that lakers had that series in the bag against the suns who made it out the west. Lakers were bound to advance up until AD got injured in game 4.
For many reasons, i saw a video with a stats about every championship duo who carried the most their team, and if i remember well Lebron and AD in 2020 were at the Top, Lebron averaged 28/11/9 with elite defense and AD 28/10 with GOAT level defense… They had an elite defense, Top 3 in 2020, but their offense was often stagnant with sometimes 3-4 non shooter on the floor like Dwight or Mcgee at the 5, Kuzma at the 3, with Rondo or Caruso who wasn’t a great shooter at the time and AD who was a low volume 3pts shooter, even tough he was efficient… So they weren’t perfect, so in 2021 they tried to improve by adding Gasol, Shroder and Harell, but AD became very injury prone, same for Lebron who was 36 at the time, and because of that AD missed 4 games vs SUNS and Lebron played on a bad ankle, and they lost … Then the NETS created the most offensively skilled big 3 ever with a prime KD, prime Harden and prime Kyrie, the whole league was chocked and tought it was over so the Lakers with AD being injury prone and Lebron getting old panicked and decided to do the same thing, creating a big 3 with Russ … People forget but that 2021 team was even better than the 2020 team, they had the 1st 🥇 defense in the league even tough AD was injured almost half the season, and they still had elite role players especially 3 and D like Caruso, KCP, Kuzma and Shroder, and they also had Drummond, a big body who could guard Jokic … That 2023 team was almost perfect, they just needed a little bit more time to developp and if they were still together they would have won the chip in 2023, 2024 and who know maybe even in 2022 but AD wasn’t healthy that season so i don’t know but long story short that’s why the Lakers ruined a potential dynasty …
Crazy took 6 years and for JJ Reddick to finally use Top 75 Davis as the first option which make Lakers so much better overall.. 6 Prime yrs from 25-30 of Davis wasted as a sidekick..Could potentially have 2/3 Rings
If your not feeling like your about to die, your in season and have a game coming up within 3 days where i come from for any sport. Conditioning is the free trial of hell.

When AD didnt have go play the damn 5 and actually focus on offense reduce weight for better shot kd esse and not having to guard the 5 for the entire game, and pick his spots.
The bubble championship doesn't count in many eyes👀 no one will remember that Lakers team.. it was an awkward season!! The Lakers tried running the same team the following season and got blown away!!
Yeah gonna disagree, he had the potential for sure, but he never once had anyone scared at all ever. The league as a collective has never been scared of this dude. Ole Street Clothes 💀💀
Your vids hit differen right after school man😮💨
That means alot honestly, I hope you continue to enjoy them going forward!
AD was the best teammate Bron has ever had, it sucks that the Lakers couldn’t get another chip out of them
Better than kyrie?

Man, they split that core immediately after they got the trophy. They should have ran it back for at least one year.
they did and were on fire until ad and bron got injured then rob panicked to go get another star which resulted in a disaster

I don’t think Ant is there yet so I’m giving to D Book for his finals run in 2021

High post is the ultimate weapon to win a championship.
The real question is, why did the Lakers not run the block with this team? It had everything!

@@Anthonydu01630 Thanks, now it makes sense. And there really has not been a repeat team since that hugely overpowered Warriors team
I miss this version of AD hopefully we see a return
So the bubble chip dont count cuz smb woulda yelled lebrick loud enough in the crowd to make him not win..?
What about doing a video on kyrie’s dominance in the 2016 playoffs
