** Hey Jim, the building in Shreveport was called “Sports for Boys”. (Irish McNeil’s boxing) It was on the property of the Louisiana State Fair. Also there was the Independence Bowl, Hirsch Coliseum, Fair Park High School, Shreveport Captains baseball stadium, and other great things. I used to go watch MidSouth Wrestling live, often at the bldg Jim mentioned. (mostly 1979-1985)
I have wondered how John Nord who stood 6.8 and weighed about325 lbs wound up underachieving to my knowledge he never held a title belt of any kind .and when he got to wcw he put over goldberg.seems he squandered his opportunities.
Bill is 24 years older than Scott too. That would be the same as a 36 year old shooter trying to pick a fight with 60 year old Scott right now. Not cool or impressive picking a fight with someone your dad's age.
@@Cobra37061 Nobody said Scott was picking a fight with him. Scott was in his 20's when this happened. Believe you me, there are assholes twice your age that will try to bully you around and that is what Bill Watts tried to do to Scott Steiner. I've had it done to me! It didn't go well for the other guy. I understand what you mean, but your argument doesn't hold weight.
@@Sum_Jigh In November 1992, Scott was 30 years old and in his physical prime. Bill was 53 years old and had been retired for 13 years. Not a fair fight. Bill in his prime would not be “scared” of any man. Watts was steroid-free, but still at least as strong as Steiner with a 500 pound bench press. Watts was bigger than Steiner and also had an amateur background, they were just from different eras.
@@Sum_Jigh Then what was "so bad" about Bill carrying a gun to even his odds if he was "scared" for his life? And all of that over Watts wanting to push Scott as a singles heel which happened 5 years later under Bischoff.
Absolutely love Jim

Wonder why Bill Watts’ company died out.
Treated his guys like shit
Thought people like Duggan were superstars 😂
Bill Watts was scared to death of Scott Steiner! It was so bad that Bill started carrying a gun on him. This came from Scott's brother Rick.
