    Andols any chance of getting some chimaira drum playthrough videos? I'd be very interested in trying to learn but I can't read music just go on hearing. You are the man I love all of your Chimaira stuff and roadrunner united work. Is there anything else can check out of yours that I may not know about?

    just want to tell you that your drumming is amazin. The footwork in "Dissapearing Sun", "Eyes of a Criminal", and "Six" blow me away every time i hear it.

      Disappearing sun reminds me of a mixture of bleed and becoming.

    Haha finally your own real youtubechannel! I'm so glad you made one, you are one of the reasons I started drumming!
    Hope to see a lot more vids!
    Cheers!

    Well Andols, you're one the main reasons why I listen to Chimaira. Your drumming is just sick. Keep up the excellent work :) And keep those videos coming.

    @kohoko sorry this is late but a lot of people who argue against triggers dont know what they are. ill give you and analogy: Triggers are to drums as Pickups are to Guitars. Drum triggers pickup the vibration of the drum head, sends a signal to the drum module (drum brain), which stores different drum sounds to be played.

    At 3:00,. The way I think of it or visualize when it goes to the ankles is if you were to drible a basketball using only your ankles. The spring pulls the beater back and you keep the momentum going or that it flutters like a bird almost

    @paddeification yeah u notice on his drums especially the left drum see the red clamp thats a trigger but by no means its considerd cheating u can adjust how sensitive u want the trigger to respond so its pretty much just for sound

    im planning on using triggers myself. you can clearly see his strokes are hard and even. its just good in a live situation, the bass drum always gets left out and its SO important.

    @dangerouschad its pretty much impossible to get two kicks to sound identical. My teacher taught me that you actually want the kicks to sound different cause it gives you that surging sound. Gene told me that he mixes his sound on his kicks, they are triggered and mic'd. I disagree with Sebastian on "why" drummers use triggers. I prefer the attack and the tone of some modules, tune my kicks to the tone I like, and then trigger them up.lowest sensitivity, and I play with max spring tension.

    I notice you sit really far back when you play, do you find this helps you with control and speed with the pedals?

    No offense but I never get why drummers want to use triggers. To me I spend money on getting more expensive drum heads and tuning rather than letting electronics do it for me.

    • @codydrummer
      @codydrummer 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sebastian Jarno you can get a more consistent attack sound at fast speeds with Triggers

    • @cbl6520
      @cbl6520 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good luck playing at 250 bpm and still being able to hear anything, it’s basically impossible without triggers.

  • @85Aheadstix

    Geez, hes quite boring
    I preferred kevin talley, so much more faster, precise and crisp
