Ex Husband wasn't physically abusive. But he was certainly emotionally abusive - always belittling his wife. Took everyone else's side but hers and allowed the Mistress wannabe to play him and degrade his wife at every turn. He was an idiot thinking that it was OK for him to show up at everywhere with this other woman drapped all over him - even if he made claimed he had no interest in her. The most ridiculous thing was the banquet where he abandoned his wife and made her stand in a corner while he escorted the other woman in. In what universe is that ok?
It's a good show, but this is a very bad copy. The 1st 25 min is in auto-generated English before it switches back to the far more enjoyable Mandarin. The subs in the other copy I saw weren't good but this copy is atrocious making half the show make zero sense to others who can't speak Mandarin. And not sure why but just like in the other copy I watched the ending gets shuffled out of order. I suggest looking for the other copy of this show, it's not great but it's still 90% better than this copy.
FL is weak as F and spends most of the drama being bullied literally every where she goes. It's annoying as hell. Plus the ending is chopped up. Don't waste your time unless you want to see the SAME bullying scene and dialogue 6 times only in different banquet halls.

2nd FL had major major delulu. She literally held the show for most part of it. Her delulu had me on the floor sometimes

It's a translation issue. The Mandarin word doesn't exactly translate, so gender pronouns are interchangeable.
