- The Iceni people of Britannia are mounting a significant offensive against the Roman occupiers. The Britons gathered 27,500 warriors to fight vs Rome in a hard-fought battle. Rome had two legions in the region alongside some auxiliary cavalry and skirmishers, they totaled 14,000 men. In this massive battle, you will see 41,500 units fighting. Rome vs Britons: will they drive the Romans out of their land?
This battle was created using Rome 2 Total War and the mod Divide et Impera.
This is NOT a historical battle and was created only for your enjoyment.

Can't get enough of this. But wondered when was the last time that generals led in battle, risking there own lives. Not in my old lifetime. Even the Roman Senators fought in the battles.
It was harder to sniper a general or leader in ancient battle. Nowadays you can do it from a very long distance. And it's super risky for any army.
Mate Great work, Very realistic except for the ending.:) Rome in a pitched battle would not have lost to the Britons (can you sense my Rome biasness)
Depends on the numbers but the britons did defeat the romans in pitched battles shown by Boudicca and the romans could only defeat the britons lead by Boudicca because the legionary is superior in armour and training, when Julius ceaser first came into contact with them he was slowly ground to a halt and could not win a pitched battle that would be everlasting.
@@WorldHistory515 hmm your right the Britons led by Boudicca did win a battle against 9th Legion but they had severe number advantage. My understanding of Julius Caesar campaigns in Briton the tribes avoided pitch battles against the Roman army. Please provide sources if I'm mistaken. Cheers

The Romans held their own pretty well but to no avail. Is a shame that the cavalry engaged the enemy so early.
that cavalry unit might have been key to finishing the fight in the end.

If I made my own faction that had it's own army I would make a infantry line that is mixed with legionary and phalanx fighting styles.

@@agenthunk5070 @Agent Hunk I think that no matter the specs, the game is not made to run with this many units smoothly. There will be massive stuttering. That is why I make these types of videos, so you can enjoy them with little to no stuttering.
