Today we are going to model a parametric brick wall and cut some void in it.
    Here are the steps:
    1. Create a single brick family.
    2. Create a new family, load the family from step 1 in.
    3. Create 2 arrays (horizontal) with some parameters.
    4. Create another new family, load the family from step 3.
    5. Create 2 arrays (vertical) with some parameters.
    6. The wall is done.
    7. Create a model text on the wall, and use the Join Geometry. (You might need to pick some font because some font doesn't work)
    8. Or you can manually create solid extrusion and join them.
    9. Hide the Model text or Extrusion and finished.
Let me know if you find some better ways to do this. Thank you.

This was very helpful. Can you help me figure out something, im currently working with a project that is all brick cladding and im trying to wrap my head around the family, which im still not sure how to figure out. What if i have conditions where that family is adjacent to another, what the best way to join the brick ending? I was trying the curtain wall generic model one, and specifying instant parameters that allow me to extend the last brick and a visibility parameter to hide the mortar at the end, but there has to be a better way for this.and is it possible to cut a family? i tried to check the cut with void box but didnt work.

Can you explain a bit more? Or maybe send some sketch to my email address? It’s Binhe615@gmail.com
