One of the great ironies of instruments like the Tuba being used for solo performances is that they are among the loudest of instruments, yet struggle to be heard over the backing orchestra. This guy is fantastic, but he could really have benefited from a slightly amplified mike onstage.

It's because high notes cut through low notes and are heard easier, that's why no one played when he played low notes
