@@just_roo5483 When the others try to swear, there's cartoon SFX and a stylized censor bar obstructing their mouth movements, and nobody can hear their attempts to swear. In this instance, there's no censor bar, only a conventional "bleep" which likely had to be added in post-production.

Like it's so subtle but so funny 😭
it is my top favorite shot and expression from Pomni in the entire episode, and I get a wild kick out of watching it every time I see it. It's unbelievably gut-renchingly funny to me to see her just get boofed on the head with a lifesaver while having that silly slit-eyed dulled expression
Love that this episode gives us a feel for the player styles of the characters. Zooble is a non-player, Kinger and Gangle are just going along with the flow, Ragatha is the one trying to get into the setting and adventure, Jax is a "murder hobo", and Pomni is meta...so meta she even made the one-off campaign enemy question their own existence.
I guess that makes Caine a dungeon master, moderator, or developer that is paranoid of the players breaking his norms and rules. He seems to be hiding very real trauma behind a charismatic front.

I kind of hinted at this last episode by saying a Jax quote, but Jax is the kind of guy who just wants chaos cause he wants chaos

It’s either being a jerk or becoming abstract for him.
I peg him as a murder hobo player. He knows its all fake and no consequences...side theory he might think that of the others as well, but in the adventures themselves he can't think of the NPCs as people, and really a lot of people play that way, especially when its a single player game...how many people playing a game like Prototype for instance didn't rescue the helpless homeless town and then proceed to see if they could eat everyone in the area before they could respawn, or drive an ATV down the sidewalk. Its just when you have to play with others that this tendency should be dialed back...and he's not really dialing it back. Ragatha is trying to get into the role while the others play along and Jax is just...I choose to kill the merchant and steal all their supplies, much to the irritation of everyone at the table.

I’ve seen this episode loads of times and it’s STILL hilarious, both me watching it on my own and watching TH-camrs react to it (bubble’s nah thanks I’m trying to quit line is still the funniest and my favourite, and then as an actual scene kinger throwing an anchor not knowing if it’s attached to anything is hilarious too)
If you liked this I suggest Murder Drones. They’re almost done with the first/last season. Michael Kovach is also a voice there
Not gonna lie, i expected Pomni to embrace her other crazy self, go full on Sparkle on Caine this time (for those unaware Lizzie Freeman voices both characters).
Guess we just have to wait and see if that (or something close to it) ever happens🎭

Fun Fact: Kevin Temmer was a Former Employee animator at sadly now-defunct Blue Sky Studios working on animation scenes of Ice Age 5, Ferdinand, and Spies in Disguise when it got shut down by Disney he left the studio, to later be hired by Glitch Productions to be a lead animator of "Murder Drones" and "The Amazing Digital Circus"!

Caine is a fool for not using his memory drives, storage drives, AND RAM to “remember” who is which….and he took hope away from pomni too early, cause she immediately got it back when she realized she had friends. You must hold hope before you take it away
And besides…every player, user, and NPC has a model…everyone
I think it's plausible to say that these alternate worlds that they enter through a portal are like individual games being loaded and ran
After all, what happens to the game world when a video game is closed in the real world?
The game world simply stops existing, and doesn't exist until you open the game again
So I think what happened with Gummigoo is that he really was vaporized before Pomni's eyes, but it was just that particular instance of him
I think when the portal closed after they left, Candy Canyon Kingdom was closed and stopped existing for the time being, and will probably be completely reset and fine the next time they load it up (if they ever do), and any progress they made will be undone; it'll be a clean slate
The next time Candy Canyon Kingdom is "played", or if Gummigoo is reused in a different future adventure, a new instance of Gummigoo will be loaded in with template memories and whatnot relevant to whatever they're doing
Whether you consider that the same Gummigoo or not is up to you; I personally think it's correct to say that he died, but we'll see him again
It's a type of cursed immortality, I suppose 🤔

Normally I'm not one for reaction videos, but this is the right balance of voice actor perspective and just enjoying the show. Animators & artists can also give cool insights but there's too much temptation to rip it apart technically.
Sooooooooo... yes they updated the textures, but they probably also improved the lighting, and used a better rendering engine. In episode 1 they most likely used Mental Ray, which is a default engine in maya. My guess is that they probably upgraded to the Arnold engine.
