Not anymore. Caterpillar use Mitsubishi diesel engine in forklifts and many other stuff. Mitsubishi assembles caterpillar excavator for JDM since long time ago. I think 4D53 it's the engine installed in forklifts.
That's one of the trick what makes the Mitsubishi engines outstanding! Bigger oil sump means more oil capacity, more oil means longer engine and oil life span! Plus all the Mitsubishi engines are still very mechanic, no bloody relays, harnesses, electronic modules and so on! That means less problem
