- We had to take our home on wheels to the garage because shes poorly! Could we have just blown the engine in our campervan or could it be a egr valve and head gasket? But It's time to start sorting other the interiea of our campervan vw crafter campervan build. This means 4 way stretch carpet lining, van conversion ceiling with alot of hacks .

If the egr is playing up on your van just get it blanked and deleted out the map. Never have the problem again 👍🏻

Iya Mate, I’m currently 11 mins in and your talking about the gunk in the oil cap,
We went through the exact same thing on our Transporter, got told it could be Charge Cooler/ EGR Cooler or Head Gasket, had pressure check done and no external leaks *apparently* anyhow after having all that changed our water pump exploded and turned out there was coolant all over undernesth of our van (old and fresh) that got changed and had no issues since, might be worth having the water pump checked too👍🏼

Buy an older van, VWs are shite and its a myth that they're great.
