Thank you Dr. B.! I just finished watching this, and the previous 6 videos. I would say these are absolutely a 'must watch' for any male who is dealing with rising PSA levels or prostate cancer. The more information we have, the better we can come to a conclusion as to how we want to proceed. As we grow older, and our PSA level rises, it seems all urology groups have different levels that are acceptable, corresponding to your age. I guess my question would be about active surveillance and observation. Would that be having your PSA levels checked and a DRE periodically, or would it also include a MRI and possible biopsy, or a combination of things? It seems today, all doctors want to be super cautious, but at some point, your age must enter the picture. We'd all like to live forever, but it 'ain't gonna happen'. Thank you, again!
I will do a video to describe the current active surveillance protocols. It will include percentages which I will hopefully be able to translate into meaningful information for most men dealing with this issue.
