if your nervous doing the time force you could say “pick a number from 1 and 5 “ then you go to that card using that number packets they said then use the force

That's a genius work around. Maybe even use a die depending if you want an extra prop or have a routine already including a die

Very scary time force, I’m amateur. My friends usually try to outsmart my tricks. They almost always fail and are amazed. But they end up seeing a different routine than the one I intended. It’s frustrating, if they’d just enjoy the trick and be normal, I could show them something amazing. I practice every trick hundreds of times in front of an array of mirrors I set up watching my performance and not the cards, before I ever perform. But as I said I often switch the routine in the middle of performing because they do things like choose a card from the end of the fan, or saying stop at the last card of the deck

Great restoration but a change of function! as a thrower I would not like to try a blade held throw without wearing a chainmail glove LOL! a bit more investigation before assumptions of intended use would make a better video and to see it used as intended ;)
