    Great video hopper. I like it when you show problems like that and allow us to watch you figure out and fix them. I do that alot here with the saws I work on and not alot of people put up real life issues in the middle of having one! Lol

    I love my 372, but i think the 390 is the greatest saw husky has made so far. Decent weight, great power and compact package.

    I had a 372 few yrs ago I chased and chased a problem very much like this ran great til you loaded it in wood come to find out the insulator around center plug was cracked and bouncing up and down under compression and didn't have enough spark whe it went down to ground strap....I checked and check plug and it was good everytime I looked but finally it stayed down on strap

    You cut some squish band down on that one? I was playing around with a little oiled sand a couple years ago checking out the weight difference between the QV8000 and the CS8000 cylinder QV was the factory echo lab boys cutting down the combustion chamber to add the necessary zip… I was thinking other than the squish numbers wanted if there’s a general rule of thumb where you think like a 20% reduction or whatnot??? I wonder if anyone ever did a little series of step downs looking for the general rule for the reduction in your combustion chamber for the boost wanted? I’m sure there’s a mathematical formula for that optimal performance but I’ve not read the right book yet to see where people shoot for??? That’s sounding good that’s for certain! 👍😁. I stared at the 385 next to the 390 for a couple of days once and they had me thinking that the 85 had bigger lowers and then I finally got to the point where I was thinking that I’d want the bigger bore and then open it’s lowers… I need a Bridgeport so I can start cutting down my band’s by machine…. It’s just fun stuff! The 385/90 with a 28” setup is a dang good climber for up in those big trees… I’ve got a fella I need to build one for…. I was watching that crank video for the zipped up Big Mac and that counterweights and crank are just some beautiful work…. Very cool indeed! Being able to fabricate a new well balanced crank for a project is a wicked cool skill level!!!! Maybe one day I’ll get there???? I don’t think so though…

    Sounds like the pulse line was breaking down and going gooie. Maybe it wasn't fuel safe.

    • @bellhoppersaws
      @bellhoppersaws  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It was brandnew echo fuel line but it was thin. The was some goo in the pulse tho

      @@bellhoppersaws I bought a roll of that echo line to use for all my builds based on a few good reviews. I rebuilt a 372 and ported it and used the echo line for the pulse and it acted the same way. I put factory hose on and instant fix. I haven’t tried it on any other saws I was upset I bought a whole roll of it. Maybe it just don’t like huskies 😂
