This is bringing back old memories as I had one of these motors on a 14 ft semi-V fiberglass boat some 35 years ago and fished all over all the inland lakes in my area with it - great little motor - had to put in new coils and points then smooth running! Not sure what year the motor was built in, but it did the job really well for me!

Wow! Small world, this month just got exact 1955 Mrk 25 engine out but on the Cumberland. Found your video in my suggestions.
Looking to pick up my first one next weekend, but I'm a little hesitant because they are a bit tricky to work on. Stoked though!

I loved our '56 Mark 25 (20 hp.) I have never used a '55.
Is the boat an Alumacraft 14'. That motor looks like it pushes it into the mid-20s.
My super silent 6 still has the build tag through the head bolt.
Where do u find the seals for these old mercs?
