Pyari Mona - Episode 01 [𝐂𝐂] ( Sanam Jung, Adeel Hussain, Sabeeka Imam ) 19th January 2023 - HUM TV
The story of #PyariMona revolves around the main lead Mona, an overachiever, strong and courageous girl who excels in everything she does but, being a plus-sized person, Mona has to face challenges, problems, provocations and taunts just because she doesn’t meet the conventional standards of beauty set by our society. The serial highlights body shamming, bullying, harassment and its social and mental implications on the victim in a society with unrealistic expectations from women and stringent standards of beauty. Pyari Mona is an unconventional and interesting story of Mona as she navigates through her life. Written by Haseeb Ahmed, directed by Ali Hassan and produced under the banner of Momina Duraid Productions, the serial also features Mashal Khan, Adnan Jafer, Muhammad Hunbal, Naureen Mumtaz, Uzma Baig, Shaheen Khan and others.

For many people this drama is just an entertainment but the person who get through all this can understand well that how much it hurts.Our so called society bullies a fat person and hurt them by words which mean nothing to them but the person who gets through all this really suffers alot.
To all those who are in this trouble. I just wanna say you are beautiful the way you are dear. Having excessive fat is unhealthy and you must try to eat healthy but don't be overstressed. It's okay it's not your fault you can lose it with healthy eating but till that day still love yourself and be confident.
Absolutely true... everybody has their own flaws nd imperfections. We can't share others' griefs nd problems but atleast we should try to be nice nd kind to them..😌😇😇

😬 Mote glasses ki tukk nahi banti yahan for Sanam's character, she should have worn better, smart looking glasses that enhance her beauty.
It wasn't necessary to show her wearing a thick black frame , Mona is a rich dad's daughter & a gold medalist at university so she knows what's in trend.
Plus she has the money to afford n the sense to decide which glasses make her look lively 🥰❤
One of my fav scenes is Irfan entering his home, ekdum darwaze se chipak chipak key then kissing his Mom's forehead while getting scolded by his Mama hahahaa

Please fix the audio levels of the show. Whatever filter/compression has been used on the voices is not only making them come in lower, but when there is a scene with music, they get completely drowned out.

I don’t think we should become comfortable with being over weight. It’s not healthy and causes many health issues. Unless being overweight is due to medications. But if problem is just eating, then remember we eat to live not live to eat!!

Love these positive and funny drama serials. That also have very important life lessons 💓. Everyone has different body shapes/types and they should not be criticised. The ‘slim’ girls husband is a bit annoying. Man eating in front of his girl working out. Great acting from all.

I’m overweight and have recently joined gym to lose weight. I gained weight during lockdown & never bothered to lose it but now it’s time since I’m not getting any younger. Nothing wrong to encourage optimal health and weight loss to be fit and in good shape. But yes, body shaming just to cause pain or be mean to someone is totally wrong. There’s people who eat well and take care but are unable to shift weight and some people are just naturally bigger no matter what they do or eat.
Agreed. I was always thin as a child no matter how much i ate . My moms cousins always used to harass me when I was little “tumhay koee khana nahi deta”😒 but my overweight cousin got it even worse.
