Yea, crowd work is great. But many newer/younger comedians have trash writing with solid crowd work. Definitely not gonna cut it. I could do woth zero crowd work. I can't do bad writing.

Finally someone who acknowledged that even though he’s having a meteoric rise to fame, he’s been at it for over a decade. So many people keep saying he’s blew up so fast, and while he ultimately has, he’s also been at it since he was 15. So in reality it took him 12 years to get this type of exposure. He deserves all of it, and I hope he keeps climbing. As for that 70s show, I’m right there with him, I grew up. With it and I’m the same age as the cast is, so that show will always be special
He's like a younger Bill Burr in that aspect. Burr's been doing it for 25 years or more and took a long time to get huge. This kid is god tier at crowd work, makes it even funnier than actual material comedians have. He'll go down a legend and be placed with the greats.

I discovered Matt online a year or two ago and thought he was comedy GOLD. Just brilliant. I told everyone I knew about him and no one had ever heard of him. I knew it would just be a matter of time. So glad to see him getting the recognition he deserves!
It’s because his improv is absolutely hilarious. I can’t come up with jokes that quick. Matt has the best responses and comes up with them so quick. He’s never mean, just poking fun and the crowds love it. My husband and I love this type of humor he has so I hope we get to see a show live! Congrats of the new found fame!

8/26/23 I'm 61 yrs old and first saw one of Matt Rife videos on TH-cam earlier this year. So So FUNNY, Hilarious, and I instantly thought of the great comedians from when I was his age. Not fair to him to say he's like this one or that one, he simply and easily fits into the group of great comedians no matter the generation. He belongs on the best of the best list for comedians. This "kid" is one of the greats with hopefully many decades to come yet.
If he ever knew how long Dangerfield labored before becoming successful...almost 20 years. Matt you simply KILL IT bruh and I am very happy for your success. Enjoy it and remember your roots my bruh.
