29:10 I think *Amos* mentioning *Holden* saw *Naomi's* son was a critical element¹ when it came to *Bobbie's* take on it. I could be wrong, but I thought the camera panned up and all *we* saw was the natural landscape. Not the station. If _proto-boy_ pointed at the station, I still think he saw more than what others could see. My gut tells me that the multiplication of the _buttdogs_ is not quite the way *Aaron* was theorizing. I simply feel they showed more so that we wouldn't get the impression that it's _just this one special buttdog._ But rather this is a species which exists, and this is what they do. Plus, I think *Calvin* was a little bit more on track when he suggested it may have simply taken more than one to deal with bringing back an actual human being from death.🤷🏼♂️ ··•✺•·· ¹ ─ Not the only consideration by far. But an important one.
I think Aaron nailed the dichotomy more or less... Because it's a proper Belter, Martian and Earther... Then you have Amos (Best Character) who is an amalgamation of all. EDIT: Holden is the boyscout through and through. "We're all the same people" and he is forever tilting with windmills. The best part of this, as it is now my favorite Bonus X-Ray thingie.... "I'm making it up as a go along." And damnit if that isn't the truth of the matter.
If somebody told you that you would be so hooked on this show at the beginning, you probably wouldn't believe... 😀 No, those X-rays are produced independently. They said this on Ty & That Guy show. You can see that all of them were written by different people than the people written the episodes. For example, Wes Chatham was one of the two writers of Win Or Lose. That what made those episodes cheaper to make is usage of existing sets. I would like they made one for Pella too, but we got what we got (this was last one). The opening shot of Remember The Cant reminded me of introduction of Ceres in episode one. I think this fits somewhere in episode 6 (just a hunch), or maybe between 5 or 6. If there happen things, I think happen (according to book), that is more logical to fit there. I think Monica is boarding Zenobia. Maybe Roci is leaving after this? We know there must be more fighting. Clarissa's One Ship fits clearly after Holden let her at the first watch and before battle with Pella and other ships. Right... Naomi killed Diogo with that elevator in season 3 finale. R.I.P. Champa... I really liked that guy... That was one of the best short arcs I've seen.
𝙂𝙍𝙀𝘼𝙏 𝙚𝙥𝙞𝙨𝙤𝙙𝙚. Why the F*** are we ending the series🤦🏽♀️ Laconia is definitely giving me Pet Cemetery vibes. Xan is acting like a lot like Katoa did. Maybe he's talking to the rest of the protomolecules and is seeing more than the human eye can. I love Holden but he needs to understand that Marco is never going to change... Most people, you see glimpses of them wanting to change their ways and be better but with Marco there is nothing. He doesn't care. He would use his son to survive by telling his son if he loves him he would sacrifice himself, so he can get away. For the cause, of course. Naomi even said so. Learning this episode that he never knew his father, I wonder if Marco is trying to prove to himself that he is worthy. And F**k his father/parents for not being in his life. What's weird is that is exactly what Filip is always trying to do. Parents really do shape us. Whether they are in our life or not... Can you imagine if that nuke from the Roci that the Pella now has comes back into play... Like Holden and the others could still detonate it from the Roci when they cross paths with Marco again😏 I think Filip didn't know his father was the one who ordered the bombs attacks... 😏 Just another break in their relationship and I'm fine with that. Yo, Chrisjen never misses with her outfits. NEVER...😁 "The Queens of The Expanse" Chrisjen - Queen of Earth. Drummer - Queen of Belters Naomi - Queen of the Roci and Exploration Bobbie - Queen of Mars All BADASSES👑 I LOVE IT. That meeting was EPIC.
He did not want to give the info to "help" marco. He wanted to inform Marco because he is worried that continuing to just use the rings willy nilly will result ultimately in our own destruction when the ring aliens finally get tired of our shit and strike like they did with the ring builders. Holden has always been afraid of the ring builders enemy since he "lived" the end of the ring gates' founding civ.
@@Matisaro I never said he was going to help Marco. Holden telling him about what he suspects will only push Marco to try and find whatever presence is in the ring. And that is whats going to accelerate freeing those beings and causes destruction/annihilation of the human race.
considering what’s happening in the books, it makes a kind of sense to end at season 6; the stories that takes place after the Free Navy arc lend themselves to a new show with a time shift like decades later 🤷♂️ That said, season 4 felt like it needed more episodes, and these last 6 while excellent also kinda have wrap to it a lot up narratively leaving insufficient time for closure with character work
Hi, I noticed the little Easter egg in the expanse, episode 6 at 25:38 they have hicks d and Hudson w on the roll call, which is the names of hicks and Hudson from Aliens, there’s also Vasquez, Ripley, (O’Neil from Stargate (though one L ) Riker W , and Ackbar G (Star Wars). I didn’t recognise any other name .
You guys should consider reacting to "For All Mankind" after The Expanse to quench the inevitable grand SciFi show thirst we'll all be facing when The Expanse comes to an end
My favorite scene that literally almost brings me to tears is when Prax was about to lose part of his soul to make Strickland pay for what he has done, then his best friend in the whole world said " You're not that guy, you're not that guy". In essence Amos saved his friend and was the hero by becoming the monster for his friend so Prax could keep his soul to be a good father to his daughter. Something Amos never had....
Easteregg: I dont know if it was mentioned somewhere or if you noticed it, but if you rewatch the Intros of episode 1 to 5 of season 6, you see a shot of the ringsphere. On episode 5 i noticed that you can see the platform around the sphere with the railguns. I asked myself if you could see them before and when i rewatched the intros, you can see the build or implementation process of them. In episode 3 you see the plattform around the sphere, in episode 4 they added the sockets and in episode 5 you can see the fully installed railguns. Nice details :)
my favourite moment is the end of 305, when the music changes as Nguyen goes over to the console to launch all the hybrids in response to Kirino's broadcast.
In one of the Ty & That Guy podcasts, Ty Franck mentioned that the x-ray mini episodes had their own budget, or something like that. The ppl in charge were willing to foot the bill. They were NOT created from the budget of the larger weekly episode.
The railguns are stated (in the books) to have a firerate of 30 rounds per minute. Anybody coming through Sol gate will have to deal with 150 ship killing projectiles per minute at a range that makes it near impossible to dodge
Certainly makes the scene from the season's trailer with the containers being dumped through the gate. I can't remember the end of book six, but that seems like one way to overwhelm the rail guns.
I cnt believe there is only 1 episode left to close the series. So many questions still? Will marcos be betrayed by phillip?? Will we see a epic space battle?? What is going on with the gates?? We need more episodes
I think why Bobbie laugh after heard the truth, it's more like: "Holden, again! well... that make sense.", since she already seen too many time Holden doing "weird" stuff. - Talking with Miller on the way to the Sphere. - Trying stop nuclear reactor of all ships. - Hiding criminal who was want to kill him. also it's been a while, the emotion is not that strong at the moment.
I wonder if what the boy can now see is the entities that Holden saw when going between the gates. Like, are they around everyone now but regular people can't see them?
The only thing that bothers me is the Ceres head administrator that is constantly fighting the "inners" on the station, it doesn't make sense for her character. She seems smart at the beginning, knows full well they only have a few weeks of supplies before starvation, yet is constantly trying to get Mars/UN to leave. It doesn't seem logical considering her position and knowledge of the situation.
Either she is more loyal to Marco's cause than her concern for the people of Ceres or in her mind, the Inner's leaving is the fastest way Ceres will get relief from Marco.
@@marcc1830 I think the latter if it's anything, but I think it's less about the character and more about the writing and the limitations they had to finishing the season.
i think drummer had the best arc around despite not being the most on-screen character, like from being an absolute unit scary and domineering to exploring friendship, to relationship to breakups and everything. the moment she cried you could understand her pain and you can feel that she had lost a lot but even after that getting back up and meeting avarsarela still wanted to fight for her people. that's something.

@36:00, what I love about The Expanse is that they try to stick to science as much as possible. From our current understanding of the universe, you can't just create new matter or energy, they each have to come from something that is already in existence. Also based upon our current understanding, it would take an insane amount of energy to power something like a small wormhole. The protomolecule builders figured out how to power over 1300 of them that are gigantic in size. Did you ever wonder - Where does the energy to power that many giant wormholes come from? Won't say more. 😉
It's all good. Exciting, thrilling and just awesome. Just like a good skydive, but I'm feeling we are about 100ft from the ground and the parachute is not open yet.
I think a major portion of the costume budget goes to space suits and her wardrobe. I think what impresses everyone is that her clothes for the most part are timeless. I could see a woman in the 20th or 21st century wearing what she does. It’s not some kooky space clothes that will look dated in another 10-20 years.
Does anyone think there's going to be a movie or mini-series in the future to wrap up all the story lines? I don't know how they're going to wrap up the Laconia stuff in just one episode.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they did. After a 10 year run, the Stargate franchise used a similar tactic. They had a couple of made for TV movies to wrap up some of their plotlines. The Laconia arc and other stuff could be handled by a trilogy.
Eric: Damn... Aaron: That's a cool outfit! Calvin: That's a... sick outfit! Everyone: *laugh in happiness and love for Avasarala* Eric: ...What a woman! Calvin: RIGHT?!! 😂😂😂😂
Holder log the distress call because it's actually his job to do so. The captain was suppose to put up a front and show that he is concern for the crews pay, and Holder being the ex-o is suppose to go behind his back and log it, then shoulder the blame from the crew. The major difference between book and show is that book Holder never carry the guilt of unliterally answering the distress call, it was always his job to answer it.
I’d love for them to answer questions as best they can in the finale but there’s three books left and hopefully someday they’ll put them to film. So I wouldn’t be surprised if there is a bit of an open ending but it also needs to feel like a series finale
Three favorite moments off the top of my head: 1) In Season Three "Assured Destruction" the buildup and firing of Earth's planetary railguns to take out the Martian nukes and one getting through the global defense system... so freaking thrilling! 2) The climax of the Miller/Julie story on Eros... so freaking emotional and beautiful...music was off the hook. 3) Chrisjen finally becomes leader of Terra, giving her speech to the human race about the need to unite in the face of the Ring.
I’m beyond pissed there is only one more episode of this amazing show. Really wish the writers didn’t feel a need to short change us fans with just 6 eps. These characters are just so well done. Totally bummed…………and will really miss this show. But damn if Shoreh Aglashdoo isn’t THE most stylish woman ever on screen. Holy crap can she carry her weight. She and Drummer are absolutely crushing it this season and I would’ve hoped for no less. That scene with them shaking hands gave me friggin chills. Season 3 is still my favorite of all of them but every season built on the previous so incredibly well. Every character has been excellent honestly. Can’t believe we’ve reached the end.
I’m assuming maybe the boy will end up being the thing that could escape to the other side. The bad thing they are worried about. But it might also be book stuff. I’ve only read up to book 5. I need the rest.
Best arc...why not Miller? He was just a down-trodden "cop" on the verge of being fully consumed by the corporate system, but went on to not only save the Earth from destruction from Eros but also to figuring out how to save the Ilus settlement. It sure would be nice to see more of him ;)
One of the past trailers for Season 6 contains a shot of what something significant that happens on Laconia... don't watch it if you don't want a spoiler!
Going into this season, I assumed the Marco plot would get wrapped up. It still could, but it doesn't feel like it will. It also could be a book think, in which case my opinion won't really matter either.
It definitely will be wrapped up. The protomolocule/Laconia story... definitely not. The series follows the books pretty closely, it's a superb adaptation. It's not going to be a game of thrones situation. The books authors have written the final 2 episodes. The end of book 6 is a natural pause point for the series. Let's hope we get the last 3 books adaptated asap.
Marco’s popularity with the Belters is based solely on emotion.. in particular anger & hate. Despite him making Belters poorer, sicker, and even - with the charges he planted & detonated on Ceres - murdering them, their years of being taught to hate the Inners (some of it rational, much of it not), takes precedence over issues of their own self-interest. Not at all unlike the real world.
How long is the next and last episode be? There is a lot to cover and resolve. Are they going to finish Marco in the first 10 minutes? Are they going ball to the wall the whole episode? Aaahhhh 🤯🤯🤯
@@gimiwanishkaa no worries brother, I hope you enjoyed the finale as much as I did. Fingers crossed for a mini series of some kind to wrap the last 3 books🤞🤞🤞
The sexual tension between Bobbie & Amos is something I wish they capitalized on. If the writers had of taken things further w/them, I can just imagine whatever room they ended up in would’ve been absolutely destroyed afterwards. Altho Cas Anvar’s pathetic stupidity prevented any of Alex & Bobbie going further in S6, I thought there was much more chemistry with her and Amos anyway.

And the brother and sister in the opening are a big part of the very last book.
18:00 Avasarala has been codenamed Archangel at least since S2 ep 1
Amos's journey is my best. It's amazing how incorporates new info and perspectives into his worldview instantly like a child learning.
Finally ! Been waiting for hours ! :D
Plus, I think *Calvin* was a little bit more on track when he suggested it may have simply taken more than one to deal with bringing back an actual human being from death.🤷🏼♂️
··•✺•··
¹ ─ Not the only consideration by far.
This is the the best show I ever watched.
If somebody told you that you would be so hooked on this show at the beginning, you probably wouldn't believe... 😀
No, those X-rays are produced independently.
Why the F*** are we ending the series🤦🏽♀️
Laconia is definitely giving me Pet Cemetery vibes.
Like Holden and the others could still detonate it from the Roci when they cross paths with Marco again😏
I think Filip didn't know his father was the one who ordered the bombs attacks... 😏 Just another break in their relationship and I'm fine with that.
Yo, Chrisjen never misses with her outfits. NEVER...😁
"The Queens of The Expanse"
Chrisjen - Queen of Earth.
Drummer - Queen of Belters
Naomi - Queen of the Roci and Exploration
Bobbie - Queen of Mars
All BADASSES👑 I LOVE IT.
And that is whats going to accelerate freeing those beings and causes destruction/annihilation of the human race.
considering what’s happening in the books, it makes a kind of sense to end at season 6; the stories that takes place after the Free Navy arc lend themselves to a new show with a time shift like decades later 🤷♂️
That said, season 4 felt like it needed more episodes, and these last 6 while excellent also kinda have wrap to it a lot up narratively leaving insufficient time for closure with character work
How can there only be one episode left. 😭
I was listening to your discussion and thinking "how far have these characters come", and they play "Remember the Cant"
Fun fact: "Tellure Una" is Latin for "From One Land" or "From One World", etc.
I can’t believe you guys jinxed the grow gel!!!
You guys should consider reacting to "For All Mankind" after The Expanse to quench the inevitable grand SciFi show thirst we'll all be facing when The Expanse comes to an end
It's an unofficial prequel series :-)
I love that show. I would also love to see them reacting to SEE with Jason Mamoa!
As someone who was alive during the real world Apollo mission I just can’t help but be like only if.
Holdens last line in that bonus piece should of been "what's the worst that can happen"
Jesus Camina is just a god damn bad ass
i also want season 6 to end like season 3, such an amazing ending
Imagining Bobbie and Amos in a room together with Marcos brought me such joy. They’d use him as a punching bag and laugh while doing it. 😂
I cnt believe there is only 1 episode left to close the series. So many questions still? Will marcos be betrayed by phillip?? Will we see a epic space battle?? What is going on with the gates?? We need more episodes
I think why Bobbie laugh after heard the truth, it's more like:
"Holden, again! well... that make sense.", since she already seen too many time Holden doing "weird" stuff.
- Talking with Miller on the way to the Sphere.
- Trying stop nuclear reactor of all ships.
- Hiding criminal who was want to kill him.
also it's been a while, the emotion is not that strong at the moment.
i suppose is better than just bad luck, at least you know your luck doesn't suck, it's just Holden being Holden
I wonder if what the boy can now see is the entities that Holden saw when going between the gates. Like, are they around everyone now but regular people can't see them?
I hear there's a trailer...
Sanjrani was far better in the books, the character seems like a joke in the show tbh
@@marcc1830 I think the latter if it's anything, but I think it's less about the character and more about the writing and the limitations they had to finishing the season.
@@danielrodrigues4903 I think her character was a bit short changed for the season and realities of completing the show.
There are "smart" people who put ideology before logic
With the pointiest of shoes, we knew, Avasarala had business to do.
That MCRN girl is back, the one that called Bobby a traitor back in season 3 I think. When her and her friends tried to take over the Rocinante.
The Belter that crushes the Captain's cat figurine in the X-ray short looks like the same guy that spaced Prax' friend in season 2.
Avasarala's outfit can feed more people than Drummer's supplies.
i think drummer had the best arc around despite not being the most on-screen character, like from being an absolute unit scary and domineering to exploring friendship, to relationship to breakups and everything. the moment she cried you could understand her pain and you can feel that she had lost a lot but even after that getting back up and meeting avarsarela still wanted to fight for her people. that's something.
I think the kid is definitely seeing at some different frequency like gamma or radio waves or some shit
We saw in S2 or S3 what the human affected by the protomolecule - in Mao's lab on Io - saw. They see everything, the molecules, the atoms, the energy... Everything.
@@gerardlacroix6015 yup but that depends if these dogs are linked to the proto molecule or if they’ve just evolved to be like that, are they ring builders in a earlier evolutionary phase
@@nugking2021 They have a similar body shape to the protomolecule robot that Miller inhabited in season 4, would make sense if it was an android they made in their own image.
Maybe they just had enough and decided to do the alien equivalent of 'return to monke'.
@@nugking2021 I do think they are the builders. Not in an earlier phase, it's just what they look like...
@@gerardlacroix6015 I don't think it'll happen but would like to see how they actually do these things, are they telekinetic so they don't need thumbs? Do they just look at things and they fix or build, they seem smart but not human emotion smart, similar to a dolphin or something
“With a knife”
Yes. Absolutely. Or Amos and a toothbrush.
Just the extra long finale episode left. :/ Hopefully do get an announcement for more seasons covering the last three books.
Not any time soon. They have officially stated that the show is done "for now".
@@W0NK042 books have a pretty huge time jump - decade(s) iirc
@@grumpletybooeg3338 - Yep.
XRAY's were additional content added by the exec's. Its bizzare. Saw an interview with one of the writers about it.
That really is a badass jacket Avasarala is wearing!
I don't know how they're going to wrap up the Laconia stuff in just one episode.
they say they intend to do it.. but dont know yet when or how (or even if it will be posible) but their intention is to do it
I'm feeling spinoff vibes. Maybe centered on Duarte whose new actor only had a small scene in episode 4 so far.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they did. After a 10 year run, the Stargate franchise used a similar tactic.
They had a couple of made for TV movies to wrap up some of their plotlines. The Laconia arc and other stuff could be handled by a trilogy.
The lost JRR Tolkien novel, "The doctor talking about the ring, thing".
I want to see Bobbie back on the Roci and Naomi joins Drummer on her ship for this last episode. Drummer needs her.
"That's way too much badass standing on the one logo..." - yep.
Eric: Damn...
Aaron: That's a cool outfit!
Calvin: That's a... sick outfit!
Everyone: *laugh in happiness and love for Avasarala*
Eric: ...What a woman!
How will they end all the storylines in one episode? It's impossible, we need more!
I have my fingers crossed for the end credits to have a trailer for a movie to wrap up the series.
The belters jut put a huge belt around the ring station :D
I’d love for them to answer questions as best they can in the finale but there’s three books left and hopefully someday they’ll put them to film. So I wouldn’t be surprised if there is a bit of an open ending but it also needs to feel like a series finale
I think speed isn’t a thing in the ring any more if they’re firing rail guns lol
45:57 "Space Fucking"... isn't that a song by Deep Purple?! ;-]
Oh, one more: when the asteroid hits and takes out Nancy's plane and the complete and terrifying silence that followed.
Children of the protomolecule; origins.
You guys have to react to the x-ray shorts for the expanse! The one called win or lose is amazing!!!!
I think the kid was seeing the space station more specifically the Protomolecule
If you haven't seen, there are a series of short films under "bonus features" that are quite good.
38:15
They do.
It sure would be nice to see more of him ;)
finally! waiting for the review from you guys!
Pet Sematary indeed
The space dogs are glowing blue...
Just in time for my breakfast 😍
Man, no wonder Amos asked "What is Chrisjen wearing?"
Diogo- the elevator fell on him!
Hands up if you want a super baby from Amos and Bobby! How OP would that baby be? He would probably have all his stats in god mode. 😎😎😎
I was hoping Chrissy and Camina would do the Arnold and Carl Weathers handshake from Predator.
One of the past trailers for Season 6 contains a shot of what something significant that happens on Laconia... don't watch it if you don't want a spoiler!
Drummer "IS" the Belt
Darth Bitch
The speed limit applied from when the ring opened until the station powered down its weapon.
The Drummer game appears to be a prequel.
except when she lied about fred johnson building the stealth ships tho i guess she was there when she said to him it was lies to throw people off
She lied to her boss. Not to belters.
18:47
I wasn't aware that you guys have been watching Indian sitcoms too lately
lol.ha
Aaahhhh 🤯🤯🤯
I heard the final episode will be an hour and a half.
@@gimiwanishkaa thanks!
@@gimiwanishkaa it needs to be cuz there is a metric S ton of stuff to wrap up and hopefully it won’t feel cheapened by the shortened season.

@@gimiwanishkaa no worries brother, I hope you enjoyed the finale as much as I did. Fingers crossed for a mini series of some kind to wrap the last 3 books🤞🤞🤞
This show is like the Fenix. eventually the three last books will be made.
No more dog butts! I don’t see it. I agree with Eric.
Remember the Cant
The sexual tension between Bobbie & Amos is something I wish they capitalized on. If the writers had of taken things further w/them, I can just imagine whatever room they ended up in would’ve been absolutely destroyed afterwards. Altho Cas Anvar’s pathetic stupidity prevented any of Alex & Bobbie going further in S6, I thought there was much more chemistry with her and Amos anyway.
I think the x rays take place after each episode
I would send in a stealth asteroid to destroy the railgun platform easy peasy....
