Fishing French Creek State Park (Hopewell Lake & Scotts Run Lake)

I took a trip to French Creek State Park in Chester County & Berks County, Pennsylvania to fish Hopwell Lake & Scotts Run Lake. French Creek State Park is known for having a diverse range of fish species such as largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, walleye, crappie, bluegill, perch, chain pickerel, northern pike, muskie and catfish. In this video I will show you how to catch largemouth bass, black crappie and yellow perch. I primarily used the Eurotackle Hellgrammite but also mixed in a swimbait and a spinner to catch largemouth bass, black crappie and yellow perch. If you take a trip to French Creek State Park you will have the ability to fish two lakes. Hopewell Lake which is known for having warmer water fish species and Scotts Run Lake which is known for having colder water fish species.

Thank you! I really appreciate that and am glad you're finding the videos helpful! I always debate whether to upload these ones where the fish aren't huge but I do it so people can still the lake and decide for themselves if they want to go.
West chester is a great area I was just thinking I haven't done a brandywine creek fishing video this year so I'm gonna try to get one filmed in the next month or two!

Scotts run has some nice size catfish. iv never caught anything much bigger then what you did in this video for those species. Good night cat fishing at Scotts though!

A few months ago I met a guy on a kayak out there and he had no luck. I was out there for about 2 hours only one person caught a fish from the bank

What body of water like that wouldnt have bass but would have pickerel? Thats a little weird to me

Thanks for checking out the video! There were largemouth in the water. I heard people say there were pickerel as well but I didn't see any on the day I was there.

@delconashvilleline yea but I was just saying if there's gonna be a predatory fish like a pickerel there's 100% gonna be bass in there aswell. But ofc, I've watched couple of your videos filmed here in southeastern pennsylvania that are local to me, just like Hopewell lake. But still have yet to fish there so that's why these videos are helpful and I enjoy seeing what there like before I check some new spots out
