    OpenGL was one of the Graphic Libraries from at least the early 90s, the other I remember was Pex, the first HTML page I saw was in late 1992, it had a gray background some black text and blue hyperlinks, and it was the next big thing.

    GL is for Glide drivers. Its actually OpenGL 3D drivers written in C. WebGL is the Javascript implementation of it.

      Mmm my opinion is kind of yes. 3.js IS a JavaScript library after all. I said kind of because the few functions I’ve seen had more to do with camera, lighting, scene, than js... you could get away with it. But it definitely helped me to learn at least a month of js. Mostly DOM manipulation and the basics.
