Michael Farrell : Oh! Thank you for teaching me about the word 'consent' but do you know how most people will react when an uncomfortable incident happens to them before a camera or when some powerful or an influential person makes you uncomfortable? Just like what happened with the Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte incident a couple of days ago. They hide their uncomfortable feeling with an awkward smile or a laugh in that situation because of the sudden shock so don't take that as a 'consent'.

Michael Farrell I think you've taken my words to the heart.. I haven't asked for any apology..nor did I want you to feel embarassed... But because we are taught that we aren't bigger than anyone else... I'd like to apologise if you've been hurt... However if you have travelled in my country and understood our culture this would've been a different conversation.. if you are ever in India again or have any friends from my humble land do ask them about this scenario and what they feel...( And I don't mean the metropolitan city folks) you must have travelled a lot but I've lived in a few countries as well for years on end and travelled a bit as well.. but I feel like this shouldn't be considered as a big issue though each to their own. Our country honestly would have made it into a political issue... And btw if your so experienced don't use prolific language.. it doesn't make your point stronger..
Johnny Grande Define "reverse racism", if a white person is beaten for being white in Kenya, does that count as racism or reverse racism? What about a Mexican being beaten for being Mexican in China? Or maybe a black African being told where they can sit in a bus in South Africa, obviously that's not racist because blacks make up the majority of the population in South Africa. Morons like believing in one type of racism or sexism instead of another is why Donald Trump is winning.
Johnny Grande Wow, been holding that in have you? I'm a minority(Kurdish) in every country on earth. So take your meandering, pro-racism, white guilt, bullshit propaganda elsewhere. Voracious_Dark it depends on how both partys were acting. obviously in this interview the girls were just messing around and he was flattered and messing around back. neither seemed uncomfortable. however if a man asked a girl to unbotton her top(jokingly like these ladies) or whatever and she was said no and he asked her AGAIN thatd be crossing the line. obviously this was unprofessional but it was clear both sides were just goofing off
+Ed Spaetzel Wrong. The two men would be vilified and called products of rape culture. There would be pink haired protestors outside of movie theaters screaming about misogyny. The studio would demand the two men apologize and donate to a battered women's shelter. Every two years, a new article would be made with the headline being "remember when these two male pervs sexually harassed that innocent female reporter?" If you think that's untrue, just google "Joe Namath sexual harassment". Either we're all equal or none of us are. You can't cherry pick your feminism.
+Paulo Winckler Actually it happened a months ago in Australia when a Cricket player tried to flirt with a female reporter and he jokingly said "Don't blush baby" and he was fined by the board and the whole media termed him as a pervert.
man i hate living in a rape culture , these poor girls were just there to do an interview and this guy comes in with his good looks and starts intimidating them into seducing him , i think we need an apology from this guy and he should also loose his job .
He's clearly intending the interview to be flirty because he literally planned to try pick up lines on them. This is real life people! If we ban flirting it'll be f**king boring
@Ash Mencia So, that makes it okay? because it's not as common? If a guy said "I won't talk to you unless you take off your shirt." His career would be over in an instant and it'd be all over the news. Your attempt to justify harassment against men is poignant.
NO no see what the guy is doing what the ladies are telling him and they're saying they won't speak to him until he does it, that's the difference, you learn it yet?
itflowerside Maybe but if the genders were swapped, the "they would've spoken of course, it was a joke" wouldn't have worked and that's where the problem is...
Wasee Rahman- More like women are forced to subconsciously hide their horniness cuz if they don't they are universally dislike and called things like,"slut, skanky, etc." But men are subconsciously more open about their sexuality cuz that is considered cool for a man, and considered cool for a guy to be with a lot of women. A man can't be a slut, I mean he can, but its very good for a man to be a slut. The male version of slut is "playa" which is good for men. That's why guys tend to be more open with their sexuality, which is why seem like the hornier gender at first glance on the outside. It's even considered bad and embarasing for a guy if he gets no girls, LOL! It's the complete opposite for women. My girlfruend is very horny behind closed doors. Ssshhhh! But I think men and women are equally as horny on average. It's biology, both genders have to be horny or else we go extinct. It's just social standards that force women to hide their sexuality more, while forces guys to be open with it cuz its consisted cool for men.
+MadSaltySkills Whoa, I'm going to have to ask you to calm down. You're being really emotional right now and kind of overreacting, honey. Is it that time of the month?
The rules seem different because the history of gender inequality influences how we interpret the power and impact of these acts, and men do not face the same structural oppression that women have historically suffered, affecting perception and social response.
Hilarious! Any guy who's been in a situation like this knows that it's completely just light-hearted and fun. As a guy you feel really complimented if something like this happens and you'll be on a high.
Please, the people on this comment section saying otherwise are simply people who do not get that kind of attention and so are bound to turn this clip into something it is not. It's a lack of experience or rather understanding of the situation the male interviewer finds himself in. He's loving it, and he for sure wouldn't call it sexual harassment 😂

Christine Villa Because I am sick of double standards. I am sick of this attitude that all men are responsible for the actions of a few, so it's somehow justified to treat any man (even if that man has done nothing wrong) how you would not want to be treated. 'It's bad when men do this to women, so we'll do it to this random guy who's done nothing wrong, that will fix things!' People like you will use 'oppression' and 'sexism' to justify your shitty behavior and double standards.
+Christine Villa It does seem like you were trying to justify their behavior. That whole they're just doing it to show the other gender what it feels like isn't a reason to be completely hypocritical. This guy isn't responsible for what those other guys did. So why treat him like that when he did nothing wrong?
It aint science that claims men and women are equal, its your society. That's where your society fucked up. Cause the physical anatomy is different and the mental wiring is different between both genders. Women can flirt to an extent and get away with it provided the guy is reciprocal to the flirtation. Because women are the "submissive" human beings whereas men are the "dominant" human beings. A man tho is

+92brunod 1:38 - "I feel really comfortable.." 1:45 "That's the best interview ever!" Yeah, really, he was basically crying from shame. You must be really boring to be around with; not all interactions require official, written agreement :)
Jo Jeffery If two guys asked a woman to do that during an interview, they would get raked over the coals for it. It wouldn't matter if the woman didn't have a problem with it. Just the fact that they would ask her to do that would stir up controversy.
Jo Jeffery What if he old said he was “so comfortable” because he felt pressured that if he didn’t go along with what these two actresses were doing and didn’t get the interview, he would loose his job. Michael Farrell Everyone knows what consent is but modern feminists tend to ignore that word and call all men, even if the woman gave consent, a rapist
The women gave harvey weinstein consent... But they still called it abuse of power and say consent doesnt matter in those scenarios.. In this situation, who holds the power? Especially when they say "we wont do the interview unless you unbutton half your shirt... SMH
Vin diesel got railed for telling a girl how beautiful she was to the point of it being awkward. This is much worse and I've never heard of it surface.
Society's norms teach females at a young age to be wary of sexual advances from males, and if they don't they will be slut-shamed. Males are not subjected to the same strict upbringing, in fact males are raised in the exact opposite way.
+Ronnok Doomsayer i think it only becomes harassment when people take offence to it, so that is really the only reason why its not when it sometimes happens to a guy, because they can either roll with it or laugh it off. so really the only way to beat it is for all people to take it as a compliment. but of course there are people who take it too far like by touching or stroking or by not taking a hint that they are making the person feel uncomfortable. so really it should be fine to do it a little and if the person you're doing it too looks uncomfortable or tells you to stop you should.
+The BotherHood If a guy said everything they did, it would be interpreted as sexual harassment even if it was a joke or the reporter wasn't offended. OPs comment is a joke, but it is right. They ignored questions and told him to take clothing off. He went with it because I'm sure he was flattered, hell, he may be attracted to them. Or it's scripted, you can never tell.
+EyeofValor I don't see the point of the double standard either, however, I personally wouldn't take offence to being hit on like this guy, I think it's ok for both genders.
TheMerryHenchmen But here the guy actually likes it. Not allegedly. You can see it on his face. It probably was the best interview of his goddamn career.
It's common for guys to like it when girls hit on them, especially two hot women. Men who doesn't are probably gay or married. So no this isn't sexual harassment
Dakota Johnson apologised to him and even referred to this encounter as sexual harassment. Chris was not offended by it and called this one of the most fun interviews of his career. Regardless, it was still pretty mature of her to recognise that this stuff often goes both ways and that he might have found it uncomfortable. And honestly I think that Leslie should have probably been the one to say sorry, because she seemed more into this than Dakota did (She might have said sorry privately though). Dakota Johnson seems pretty strongly against harassment, as the granddaughter of Tippi Hendren should be.
It’s not appropriate. It’s cringy! I’m sure tons of guys “apologized” for sexually harassing a woman, but it doesn’t change anything and how violated you feel
Nobody should have said sorry. They didn’t do anything wrong. We just live in a world with overly sensitive people and they’re the ones making it WAY worse. 5yrs later after your comment and it’s gotten worse. Who cares if a man or woman call each other hot and do this. If it’s truly not offending anyone, then go cares. This was a fun interview and people need to stop sucking so much. Mostly the kids born in the late 90’s and 2000’s that have made the world worse.

Tommy MV$ERVTI I wish he'd do it just to troll the movement and show how hypocritical it is by changing verbiage. "I only put up with it out of a sense of professional responsibility." Or "I thought it was okay at the time, but looking back I realize I was a victim of internalized sexism and rape culture, where even the victims don't realize they're victims because they've been brainwashed to believe that's just the way it is. It isn't. This conduct during an interview is wrong."
So how is this different to Chris Gayle hitting on the Aussie female reporter? He get's hauled over the coals on social media and women on here are saying this is "cute" and "fun"...unprofessional is what it is.....Double standards.....
Even if he is receptive so to speak, they are harassing him at his place of work. He is in a professional setting and is maybe playing along to not be seen as awkward. A lot of women also play along in the moment when confronted with behaviour like this from men but once removed from the situation they know it was never appropriate. This may seem harmless, but it's so inappropriate. Calling ppl over to ogle him too? Take off your shirt? smh. Let the man do his job.
ET G I'm a guy and I felt uncomfortable watching this. Way to jump into every man's brain. Maybe your lack of empathy is what allows this behavior to continue. It's all just for laughs right? That is what all empowered harassers say. What if is gay or married? What if he lost his job if he didn't comply? What if he had embarrassing things on his body like acne, hair, pigment loss, scars etc..? What if he is religious? What if he had a second job that requires him to always be under scrutiny like pastor, teacher, police, etc? But they're all joking and laughing so he couldn't possibly be alarmed. I suggest you learn a little more about the subject.
absolutely nobody cares about this apart from feminists with too much time. and men who say it's sexual harassment just to make feminists aware of their hypocrisy. fact is, as long as you're attracted to the one doing this and there's no power play going on, this is absolutely fine. i can assure you this guy didn't mind lol. neither would have I. things like that only become uncomfortable when you're no into the person or feel pressured.
@Ash Mencia your argument mean nothing; what the fuck does fame have to do with it? And of course he'd say "best interview ever" it's his job to make guests feel comfortable. I know what it's fucking like to play along for someone else's comfort and it's still sexual harrassment. Sort your shit out and get educated. People like you piss me off
kaizun that is very false. They do care. For two months at the VA, I saw coed inpatient treatment for veteran patients BETWEEN VIETNAM , DESERT STORM, AND OEF/OIF. Most of the patients in each class was majority male. The same goes for prisoners. Also, Terry Crews is a big built man, but because of power and indoctrination, he was grouped by someone and didn't feel it was mutual in the least. You might remember he went to Congress to testify publicly that he experienced sexual asault/harassment. For over a year he was questioning his morals, value, and belief system. He knew he was not in the wrong, and the guy who did it was overstepping his boundaries. There are men that go through the fight for power and control all the time. Imagine if someone were married, gay, waiting for marriage, religious, or underage. There is a way to behave in our society. Being horny over 40 is inexcusable if it is unwanted. The reason you just gave is the main reason that out of all male sexual harassment and male sexual assault victims, only about 3% actually report it. There is so much shame attached to the "men can't be victims" stigma. It is the reason the statistics are so skewed in favor of women. There are gay men and powerful women who are in charge of production or in high positions that behave this way regularly. There is no respect of the actual laws or the police who are expected to enforce said laws. The reason way it goes unpunished so often, is because of the stigma and the notion that men are always powerful. What if the victim were disabled, or mentally handicapped, transgender male/female, or under the influence of drugs/alcohol/date rape drugs? Men can be subjected to unwanted and inappropriate touching. They can be taken advantage of in many ways. Think about this, there are no male shelters for recovery or hideout. States only offer those benefits to women and children. That itself is true discrimination. Your reasoning is why these cases aren't taken seriously, even if you provide mountains of evidence. Suggestion: don't be a sexist or denier. Look at every situation objectively and equally.
@@ET2carbon tdlr; From skimming your comment, I'm assuming you're quoting some study that found men actually do care about being sexually harassed. Thats cool, doesn't change the fact that a majority of the people here aren't commenting on that, they're commenting on the double standard.

Most comments are about double standards. In fact that is what I just wrote you. No equality in shelters or law.
Nothing actually wrong with objectifying anybody, but commenters wanted to point out the double standard. Men are disgusted at the hypocrisy, not the act of objectification.
False equivalency. Female nipples are somehow considered indecent, and you get judged harshly if you show them. A closer comparison would be asking a woman to stand up and turn around. What you wrote is kinda dishonest.
@Dats a paddlin Not really, but it's a fucktarded comparison. I think the offendedness is off the charts, people are just whiny little bitches. If you have a problem with it, say something.
Weird that people are calling it harassment when the dude was clearly okay with it. Still, it's still not okay to do regardless of which gender is which, especially towards practically a stranger. What really matters most is how the person reacts or receives these kind of comments.

Tea Dawg He appeared flustered and to be honest if he did feel uncomfortable/awkward what could he say? It seemed like he was trying to stay professional and make the best out of an uncomfortable situation. And regardless of whether some guys find that behaviour okay doesn't mean that it is de facto okay. Putting someone on the spot and make suggestive/disrespectful comments towards a potentially unwilling participant is never cool in a professional setting.
+Neto Rodz They were just fooling around, I don't see any harm in that. The guy seemed to have fun as well, and he easily could've refused to unbutton his shirt.
Remember ladies, just because he appeared to enjoy it, doesn't mean he did. In fact, he didn't give obvious verbal conscent and only acted like he liked it out of fear that they may hurt him if he didn't.
Just for those confused people. It did start out with just a general nice compliment of "your handsome" but then he said "tell me more" so it is ok as he is wanting it and therefore not sexual harassment. Same applies if the genders were swapped.
That guy was such a beta. Leslie Mann was actually testing him to see what he would comply with and when he would say no. Because he didn't she no longer respected him for the rest of the interview. TEST FAILED 😂😂😂😂

Yup. I can totally see two male co-stars doing this a female interviewer and it not being a big deal. "Take off your blouse!!Let's see your bra? What colour is it?" Would go down so well.

Michael Farrell hello white Knight
Michael Farrell come to India we'll show you what's the difference between ... Consenting... Respecting... Flirting... Everything...there's a world beyond the Western Civilization which thinks a little differently.... That doesn't make us wrong... I suggest you try to understand a variety of cultures then make your comments accordingly... If you have difficulties I would gladly like to open your mind to my culture.
Feminism: It's only sexist when we say so.
What a pathetic piece self hating trash you are. Your ignorance is actually kind of adorable, like a child trying to run before they can walk, bet you have no clue how racism works in the rest of the world, in Asia and South America, how it's been hidden for decades in Europe to fool the gullible like you.

What would happen if 2 man did same to a girl?
+Ed Spaetzel I'm not offended, just asking ;)
+Ed Spaetzel Wrong. The two men would be vilified and called products of rape culture. There would be pink haired protestors outside of movie theaters screaming about misogyny. The studio would demand the two men apologize and donate to a battered women's shelter. Every two years, a new article would be made with the headline being "remember when these two male pervs sexually harassed that innocent female reporter?" If you think that's untrue, just google "Joe Namath sexual harassment". Either we're all equal or none of us are. You can't cherry pick your feminism.

Double standard much?
TMac473 actual fact that women are a lottttttt hornier than men they’re just better at hiding it
Wasee Rahman because they don’t get boners
Wasee Rahman I highly highly doubt that
Wasee Rahman- More like women are forced to subconsciously hide their horniness cuz if they don't they are universally dislike and called things like,"slut, skanky, etc."
But men are subconsciously more open about their sexuality cuz that is considered cool for a man, and considered cool for a guy to be with a lot of women.

@@liampatrick3110 th-cam.com/video/gJRqhpl4TVg/w-d-xo.html
The rules seem different because the history of gender inequality influences how we interpret the power and impact of these acts, and men do not face the same structural oppression that women have historically suffered, affecting perception and social response.
Hilarious! Any guy who's been in a situation like this knows that it's completely just light-hearted and fun. As a guy you feel really complimented if something like this happens and you'll be on a high.
Please, the people on this comment section saying otherwise are simply people who do not get that kind of attention and so are bound to turn this clip into something it is not. So two wrongs make a right. Got it.
And all men are responsible for the actions of every man because of some original sin bollocks. Got it.
What a fucking idiot.
Christine Villa
Because I am sick of double standards.
I am sick of this attitude that all men are responsible for the actions of a few, so it's somehow justified to treat any man (even if that man has done nothing wrong) how you would not want to be treated.
'It's bad when men do this to women, so we'll do it to this random guy who's done nothing wrong, that will fix things!'
People like you will use 'oppression' and 'sexism' to justify your shitty behavior and double standards.
+Christine Villa It does seem like you were trying to justify their behavior. That whole they're just doing it to show the other gender what it feels like isn't a reason to be completely hypocritical. This guy isn't responsible for what those other guys did. So why treat him like that when he did nothing wrong?
Let's get some men to ask a female interviewer to undress and stuff and see what happens to them.

Jo Jeffery That's called being professional. Because if he says otherwise he's gonna get the good old "you're fired" speech.
"Hit on"
You misspelled sexual harassment.
+The BotherHood it's only sexual harassment when they're ugly
Frederick Jizzbottom what?
+The BotherHood If a guy said everything they did, it would be interpreted as sexual harassment even if it was a joke or the reporter wasn't offended. OPs comment is a joke, but it is right.

Couldn’t agree more
ET G I'm a guy and I felt uncomfortable watching this. J Johal men do have an issue with this, a lot commenting here demonstrate that. This behavior is not okay.
@@ET2carbon The people commenting are complaining about the double standard. In general men don't really give a damn if they're "sexually harassed".
kaizun that is very false.

Not one more word unless you undo those buttons... this guy just got Weinstein'd!
jojolikescocoa sure did
He also said “This is the best interview ever” this guy is having fun
This is GOLD cheers VLIET🍸
Apparently # HimToo ain't gonna be a thing...
Because its the best interview ever for men if women ask them to unbutton their shirt. Ofc himtoo wouldnt happen cause its stupid
At 0:48 when Dakota said "swole patrol" she looked at his crotch.😂😂😂
Haha yeah
Do these comments from 8 years realize that the interviewer himself posted this video? 😭
Wow imagine if it was two male actors and a hot female interviewer! The ruckus this video would have caused.
"I unbuttoned my shirt for them cause I thought I would help my media career, but in hindsight it was rape"

yo she straight up asked everyone to leave😂😂i'd kill to be that guy right now Dakota Johnson is just😍
BS! Sexual Harassment. Imagine two guys doing this to a woman?
See how the guy in this video is consenting? Learn the difference... Consent is not that difficult a concept to wrap your head around....
He was just uncomfortable and going with it. That's the excuse women give when asked why it looked like they liked it. That whole zero tolerance thing gets thrown out the window for some reason when the script is flipped. Wearing tight clothes and looking fit isn't an invitation to sexual harass someone unless you're a guy. Cool.
Another button, another one... they would be in jail
I would love to be a species where sexual harassment is "funny"
What the hell are they doing?! Fucked up!!
Yeah, if the roles were reversed it would be creepy, but that's because men and women are different.
Stop acting like we're exactly the same and the world will make a lot more sense to you.
+Tea Dawg That doesn't make this particular situation anymore okay. They're still being very disrespectful.
So your telling me to treat you like a piece of meat???
+Emily hancock
The guy didn't seem to mind, he said ''It's the best interview ever.'' I don't think a lot of guys would mind actually, besides the ones that are getting pissed because of ''double standards''.
+Neto Rodz
They were just fooling around, I don't see any harm in that.
Lol Yeah and he said “maybe i’ll do one button” well…
everyone should be owed this kind of a confidence boost xD
At least the guy handled it confidently
Just for those confused people. It did start out with just a general nice compliment of "your handsome" but then he said "tell me more" so it is ok as he is wanting it and therefore not sexual harassment. Same applies if the genders were swapped.
This makes me so uncomfortable to watch. how can they think this is okay??
That guy was such a beta. Leslie Mann was actually testing him to see what he would comply with and when he would say no. Because he didn't she no longer respected him for the rest of the interview. TEST FAILED 😂😂😂😂
If a two men did this to a woman they would label them as the next Harvey Weinstein's... Double standard.
He couldn't take it anymore so like "let's wrap up, thank you so much guys" 🙂🙂
2:37 ohhhh that totally got them! 😂😂😂
Last time I checked
Emotionless dolls have no emotion
Omg i love these actresses but kinda emarrassed that they're treating him like a piece of meat :(
i don't treat my pieces of meat like that. Do you?!?
Regardless of if he liked it it’s still sexual harassment. He is pressured into making a good interview. There is a power dynamic that doesn’t allow for consent. It’s sexual harassment.
Just swap the genders and then it would all over the news, captioning sexual harrasment during interview.

Not really
@@Metallikid1 #VinDiesel
Yup. I can totally see two male co-stars doing this a female interviewer and it not being a big deal. "Take off your blouse!!Let's see your bra? What colour is it?" Would go down so well.
Main man was slow rolling on some Chippendales-type stuff. He knew what he was doing...and they fell right into it. RESPECT BROTHER!
If two men asked a female reporter to unbutton her shirt, their careers would be over and they would be blacklisted forever.
Ok virgin
Oh cool! I didn't know you also did celebrity interviews! Always though you were a wrestling and sports interviewer!
This was so uncomfortable to watch
Indeed
Let's run the standard response when a woman is put in this position:
"I only put up with it out of a sense of professional responsibility. Even though I didn't show it, I was uncomfortable the entire time at how focused they were on sex and my appearance."
Or
"I thought it was okay at the time, but looking back I realize I was a victim of internalized sexism and rape culture, where even the victims don't realize that they're victims because they've been brainwashed to believe that's just the way it is. It isn't. It's wrong and we can change it. This sort of conduct during an interview is _never_ okay, whether you're a man or a woman. We need to stand against #SexualHarassment. #MeToo #Equality #EqualRights"
This is the first time in my life writing a comment. I have to just say, I love both of these women and I know they were just kidding and laughing.. However, watching this made me feel very uncomfortable for the guy. It was so wrong on so many levels, I lost respect for them.
I agree, and I feel the same...
Double standards at its finest.
