I feel this. My parents (or rather, my dad) believe that parents should be instructors and not friends with their children. Not only has this been detrimental to our relationship, but it also makes me not care about anything they might have to teach me.
sadly kids don't always listen to their friends, which they need to do in dangerous difficult or certain situations, say there bullying someone, friend's do not have the neasary tools to teach them there wrong for acting like that, thy could talk to them at best, but thy cant do anything to try to descipline if things don't change. tuff love is sometimes important, but there still right and wrong ways to go about it, the example is shown in the actel animation with the bunny mom when the child spilled something, she smiled laghed but she still got her to clean it up. see the buunny mom and the koala mom both were teaching to clean up, like a parent should, just there methed and aditude were difrent.
not a fan. My dad always said he is his sons friend. So he only does the fun stuff with him, no lecturing, no teaching, no instructions for life. Parents shouldnt always be the fun friends.
@@Thinkfree4me i hope your friend's dad knows what he's doing. taken too far that approach tends to produce spoiled entitled kids a parent can important things like scheduling, personal responsibility, accountability and problem solving in fun ways, but they still have to teach those things in the first place
Parents shouldn't be "friends" they should be parents. If you can't distinguish the two then you're probably not ready to be a parent. Kids can have many friends, yet very few have even one parent
This made me cry. All the girl wanted was to be really seen and held by her mother. That moment that her mother reaches for her ear is enormous. But she realizes it's just to examine and judge her earring, so she slaps the hand away. But in the mother's head, the mother's probably thinking about how the earring looks just like her own. It's hard for the mom to give the kind of intimacy her daughter deserves because of her own wounds. So she does all she knows how to do by trying to help pick up the detergent. You can see her hesitation as she tries holding her crying daughter. And her daughter isn't too bitter to appreciate that this hug is what she wanted. So sweet.
I like how the koala girl's shirt is a skull for most of the short film, but once she and her mom hug it out, her shirt changes to a heart symbol. Very nice piece of detail in my opinion.
I like that we can see that their clothing changes are like a sign that they're slowly starting to mend their relationship (the Mom also has a lightning bolt shirt, showing that she's slowly becoming more accepting of her daughter). ^^
To all parents. You don't even have to like or support what we love. Just accept us cause we are your children, not because of what we chose to do or to be. That's all we ask for.
Except ofcourse when the child obviously does something really wrong like theft or bullying. But when lecturing the child it should be lovingly and calmly.
I agree it hurts to watch this because a relationship with a parent can’t just be fixed in one moment. I’m sorry you didn’t get the help you needed that you deserved. ❤️
The art style of this short makes me want a game in this style. Kinda Night in the Woods-esque. And the story is deeply relatable not just to Millennials, but across generations.
I related to this so much....I was always yelled at when I made mistakes or when I was clumsy...Now I embrace my mistakes and I laugh at my oopsie moments
Saw a post on TikTok and came to watch the full thing. It’s hard because I grew up with a mother who was emotionally immature and had to walk on eggshells. We can only have a good relationship from a distance. 😢
This made me smile but also sad at the same time, like her I would like my mother to support and understand me but unlike this short my mother never will. Not from a lack of trying but just because my own mother sees nothing wrong with her behavior. Going as far as her thinking it's okay calling me a freak after telling her about my severe depression, making fun of how much I use to weigh, waiting to say things she knew upset me after I was trapped in her car and blaming me for my dog passing even though it was a genetic thing that couldn't be avoided.
Impressive and very cute! I like to think that the mom wasnt tugging on her piercing to be rude, but she noticed that her daughter was wearing the same type of earring as she does; just black. Nice touches all around!
What an unrealistic outcome sadly. Most parents don't reflect upon their behaviour and will always think how they treated their child was right, just bc thats how they've grown up. But just bc it happened to you when you grew up, doesn't make it ok.
This is Awesome I love the colors, style, and thought put into this as well as this storyline. This will Help people that deal with this too! Thank you for this I hope it grows to more veiws! Amazing job!
Love short films, all the little details play such an important role! 💜💜 Makes such a difference how you respond to your children, that’s what prompted me to be a different kind of parent. I treat my child as I wanted to be treated.
This tropw may've had will be been tale as old as the dawn of time until unbeknowns future but always so deep about longing for acceptance & love in a very close relationship. Something that surely is gonna be never ending adventure within our grounded mundane life.....I love this bittersweetsoursaltiness of life.
I have a friend who's parents pay attention to their first born alot more then my friend, now because of them yelling at him and not giving him love, he's become depressed and became transgender, I hope one day he's mom will love him just as in this film💙💙💔💔
I like this, but at the same time, I feel a twinge if deceit because year apon years of trauma and emotional abuse don't just go away and are forgiven that easily or if at all. Sometimes, they don't deserve to be forgiven, but that doesn't stop you from healing. Still relatable to most tho
I agree, while this is cute and accurate to some people, many would be disgusted if their abuser hugged them for any reason. If my father made me cry and then tried to hug me, I would leave lol
I relate to this a lot even if I’m still a minor and my mum still does this but it’s just so annoying when u spill so,etching or do something out of line and you have to cover it up and quickly as possible
I saw a small clip of this on tiktok, qnd wanted to watch the whole thing, and you don't know how many variations of words i had to search to find this animation. Some highlights: - purple koala - purple koala laundromat - purple goth koala - purple gothic koala with mommy issues laundromat
I know how that feels and seeing this makes me feel things will get better IN the end but for some people only you can get better because you can't change other people views about you
Can we just sit back and appreciate the business model this Koala have....well to me anyways. Sitting back behind a counter, at your own established business and you get to meet new and interesting people everyday.
So sweet.
I could try and recreate this laundromat in ACNH and I chose Sydney since she’s a purple koala like in this cartoon. The things I couldn’t do are the stacking the machines on top of each other, the “RIOT” neon sign, the shelves containing the detergent, and the gigantic coffin which serves as a table to fold clothes.
That trauma can never be undone. But we can heal and learn from it and form a new relationship with our parents if we choose. Relationships are complicated and messy.
I feel this. My parents (or rather, my dad) believe that parents should be instructors and not friends with their children. Not only has this been detrimental to our relationship, but it also makes me not care about anything they might have to teach me.
I definitely think parents should be instructors and friends! Teach and love your kids, not just love and not just teach.
sadly kids don't always listen to their friends, which they need to do in dangerous difficult or certain situations, say there bullying someone, friend's do not have the neasary tools to teach them there wrong for acting like that, thy could talk to them at best, but thy cant do anything to try to descipline if things don't change. tuff love is sometimes important, but there still right and wrong ways to go about it, the example is shown in the actel animation with the bunny mom when the child spilled something, she smiled laghed but she still got her to clean it up. see the buunny mom and the koala mom both were teaching to clean up, like a parent should, just there methed and aditude were difrent.

I can't believe this animation hasn't exploded with the reach of the internet, this is so good!
There's another video of this and it has over a million views. It's called 23 frames
I like how the koala girl's shirt is a skull for most of the short film, but once she and her mom hug it out, her shirt changes to a heart symbol. Very nice piece of detail in my opinion.
I think her shirt only changed to a heart because she and her mom had to change clothing
I like that we can see that their clothing changes are like a sign that they're slowly starting to mend their relationship (the Mom also has a lightning bolt shirt, showing that she's slowly becoming more accepting of her daughter). ^^
That's an amazing observation.
A lot of people wouldn't easily point that out! I am impressed.
To all parents.

it's sad to realize that not all parents watch such instructive animations or cartoons😔
sometimes parents admit their mistakes and try to help, but this help was needed even in childhood (

Bro this was so good including the showing the difference between two different styles of parenting 👏
The pink bunny mom looks like an older Anais from Gumball.
Wait ur right

Yeah, it looks exactly like her
Canon plat twist she moved other cartoon/animation after gumbsll end
I related to this so much....I was always yelled at when I made mistakes or when I was clumsy...Now I embrace my mistakes and I laugh at my oopsie moments
It made me cry. I will never find understanding.I still remember how they beat me for bad grades at school, shouted at me for little things...
Saw a post on TikTok and came to watch the full thing. It’s hard because I grew up with a mother who was emotionally immature and had to walk on eggshells. We can only have a good relationship from a distance. 😢
funny that we try to be good but in fact we are who we are, there's nothing to change!
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Bro this almost made me cry it’s such a sweet animation that deserves more views, likes, and subs!!!
Yes
I just want to say thank you to the artists for sharing the name in the tiktok comments so I could find and watch this work of art.

Очень милая и трогательная анимация☺️
Прямо за душу берёт.

This is adorable and very heartwarming

So much emotion in one clip. 😢

as a person with mommy issues this hit hard. I can’t stop watching this video on repeat
О боже как же это всё красиво нарисовано 😍😍😍
This setting looks like it would take place in "Night in the Woods". And I love that!
This tropw may've had will be been tale as old as the dawn of time until unbeknowns future but always so deep about longing for acceptance & love in a very close relationship. This video is truly something else.
In the best way possible

I have a friend who's parents pay attention to their first born alot more then my friend, now because of them yelling at him and not giving him love, he's become depressed and became transgender, I hope one day he's mom will love him just as in this film💙💙💔💔
This is incredible!!! I love this!!
Очень классно!
Я даже прослезилась....
I love this art style it reminds me of LPS the type of the animals and the environment too everything looks like it came out of an LPS set
I like that it didn't insult the mother like the other animated movie

This is amazing!!! Deserves way more attention!
I like this, but at the same time, I feel a twinge if deceit because year apon years of trauma and emotional abuse don't just go away and are forgiven that easily or if at all. Sometimes, they don't deserve to be forgiven, but that doesn't stop you from healing. Still relatable to most tho
This!
After all my years of being hated by my own family and treated like dirt Im not letting them walk over me and be forgiven that easy
I agree, while this is cute and accurate to some people, many would be disgusted if their abuser hugged them for any reason. If my father made me cry and then tried to hug me, I would leave lol
I don't know why but I like this kind of art.
10/10.
AWWww sooo cute. I really love the art style
I relate to this a lot even if I’m still a minor and my mum still does this but it’s just so annoying when u spill so,etching or do something out of line and you have to cover it up and quickly as possible
Came from TikTok. Wonderful stuff! ❤

О боже, я сейчас расплачусь 😭💖
It's funny that I find actual koalas ugly little goblin creatures, but every time they're animated they're cute.
I know how that feels and seeing this makes me feel things will get better IN the end but for some people only you can get better because you can't change other people views about you
So cute!!! Love the character designs!!!
What a beautifully done animation
Oh, my god this made me cry, the ending so cute

The characters say a lot even with out words

Ha. Oh well, I started to cry... nice.
And the story is so heartwarming
Can we just sit back and appreciate the business model this Koala have....well to me anyways. Sitting back behind a counter, at your own established business and you get to meet new and interesting people everyday.
I am crying so hard right now
Awesome animation shows
Awesome this is so cute I love it
I never thought a animation with a koala could make me want to cry
I just now realized… she never took her gloves off when she washed her hands
Very well done.
How amazing.
I wish my mom was even apologizing for the abuse but we don't all have this luck...
So sweet.
you copied someone else's comment, my friend... at least give credit
4:56 me seeing the sink running: *E N E R G Y C O N S E R V A T I O N*

made me cry :'(
She looked traumatized.
That is the part when a parent CAN NOT redeem themselves.
You harmed your child, you do NOT deserve them. End of sotry.
That trauma can never be undone. But we can heal and learn from it and form a new relationship with our parents if we choose. Relationships are complicated and messy.
I would imagine it was an official music video like this animated film just like that.
oh man this is beautiful
Amazing animation, I love it
Класс! Мини фильм классный
Legendary ending!
This animation is so swag!!!
Yall made me cry
