Take care is 20 songs. Weekend is credited with 4. That’s not even close to half.

@@Throughthescope3he only credited him for 4 but about 15 of that 20 songs were actually songs that were supposed to be on Weeknd’s debut. THAT’S why he didn’t sign to OVO. Just another example of Drake using somebody then acting like he did them a favor.

Drake is not friendly.. He is not genuine. He is opportunistic, and it appears that he always has been. Undoubtedly he has been on several artist songs that gave their career a boost.... well sometimes😔, but it was not out of the goodness of his heart, not for the sake of true friendship or to help the culture. It was something in it for him too, in some ways those artist cosigned his entry into something he either wouldn't have or it would have taken him longer to get. You ever notice the first thing Drake says to another artist he's worked with is "im the reason you have a career, I put you on" etc. stop it. It's a reason Drake is in this position. I agree with your other points.

Man he really does just hop on waves other people made. Ovo doesn’t produce all that interesting music but right when an artist is breaking mainstream is when he wants to jump on a track or album and claim he did all the work. They were already on the rise!

@@LR-kr9sz true, and just to clarify. I listen to both Drake and Kendrick.
only reason I said use an asterisk. Is there are a lot of artist who benefited from his stimulus package but there are is also a decent number of people to which drake works with them once and never again coincidentally when they are most poppin. I mean blocboy GB has been asking for a second feature.

since hip hop went mainstream, the majority is from the suburbs, yes. because only 1/5th of America is black.
but you gotta consider the fact that the white suburban fans listen to hip hop to feel the black experience a bit, it's their escape from their own life and into another. Drake kinda makes them feel like "oh we already got this at home" why should we listen to it? We already got Harry Styles now and Justin Timberlake in the past, why do we need a cross between a suburban kid and a tough guy rapper?
why don't we get the full on black experience from Kendrick or anyone else whose name actually carries respect in black culture?
it's all very phony and pretentious, white people deciding who is more black but they nonetheless want to see the blackness a little which Drake these days shows little to none of
