    Hey destiny,
whether you read this or not doesn’t matter. I just wanted to say that I wasn’t interested in politics for two years because I could find anyone smart to listen to. I watched a video about a guy who went down the trump rabbit hole, and I related to that video because I too fell into conservatism, almost the same exact way. Anyway, in his video he said watching you debate Jon Tron helped him change his side. I watched that and quickly started watching through your videos. I watched videos relevant to my conservative period. I was so wrong and no one was there to show me. I don’t agree with everything you say, but it’s a hard thing to do. It’s comforting that you are not affiliated with a party because it shows me that you aren’t influenced by either party. I don’t believe in party systems, but nowadays it’s hard to find any middle ground. So thank you destiny for inspiring me to do my own research, and to pay attention again.

"and is corrupt for not trying to paint a target on his back" If I'm not mistaken, the part of the conversation we're quoting is where the police guy defends the allegations of him being a corrupt police officer. This is the definition of corrupt "having or showing a willingness to act dishonestly in return for money or personal gain.". I don't care that he doesn't report the woman he is talking about, honestly. I understand why he doesn't, I would do the same if I was him. But to claim he isn't corrupt, lmao yeah right.

Maybe it just proves how toxic the system is?
Also, claiming something to be corrupt doesn't make it the worst thing in existence, corruption is part of balance, sometimes it's needed, sometimes it's best to get rid of to make way for a new evil, but it's never good to keep the same one for too long, or our graves will be too deep, lmao

I feel like a lot of people in this comment section are totally missing the point of this discussion and falling for the argumentative tactic being used by the Anti-Police Accountability person in this conversation (Dooby).
This is a discussion about how prevalent Police misconduct is, and what would be effective measures to curb it.
CounterPoints brings up, as anecdotal evidence that there is a systemic issue that he felt pressure to not report bad behavior on the part of colleagues. I think that if you asked him, he would say that this is a bad thing that he did, but that he felt it was his best option at the time. He wants to use this to make a broad point about the need for reform that would make us less reliant on cops "making the right choice" by making the moral choice easier to make.
Meanwhile, Dooby, (who, let's remember, is arguing that there is no evidence of a systemic problem in policing) hears this, and sees it as a huge opportunity to score points against CounterPoints' character and simultaneously reinforce the idea that the only issue is "a few bad apples". He wants us to think CounterPoints is just one of these bad apples, rather than a normal person making the decision most people would make in the scenario. This is not a good argument, and it doesn't line up with reality. The system needs to be changed so that cops can make good decisions without suffering hits to their own careers or doing disproportionate harm to colleagues.

It probably means that "your friend" has problems not relating to LSD whatsoever. I don't think that you witnessed the event and are just believing what you heard w/o skepticism. Or you are leaving quite a bit out of the story. No matter what It was a terrible point. LSD is not a drug widely used and has even a smaller chance of leading to violent outbursts requiring any police involvement. Bringing up something that has such a minute chance of occurring is not relevant.

Problem with UCMJ. It allows for the same issue now as there is in Law Enforcement. It is an entity inside the military meant to judge the military. Real world consequence is that I have a SNCO that rapes one of his airman, and only spends 6 months in prison. This would end up being a problem within a UCMLE system. Cop assaults a person in custody, and would receive a sentencing that would not even remotely resemble justice, and instead we would've created a system that coddles to the current system even more with less recourse by civilians.

OK this cop guy is literally admiting that the thin blue line exists. What's funny is he gives examples that are minor but his mentality is also used in major examples. The traffic example is bad because the same is often never given to citizens. Yall have a motto that yall don't make the laws but yall will enforce them. So why would the police not be held to that standard. If the officer is lying about traffic stops that should be reported.
Who cares if it ruins their lives. Yall are literally the people who decide whether or not people go to jail or go home. I've literally had the drug Hound called in a traffic stop because I had a swisher sweat rapper in my car. He also lied and said it smelled like week. I smoke cigarettes I do smoke weed but I use it to fall asleep so I never would smoke it in my car. The funny thing after a hour and a half. He apologized and said and I qoute. "I confused Newport smoke with weed smoke" but wonder if he was the type of officer who would plant evidence. I'm fucked. That mentally is bad for a police officer to have. I like the idea of a third party.
