Christian Gotta correct you on a few things here, mainly that Kyle didn't cross state lines with the gun, it was already in Kenosha, hence why the gun charge was dismissed. 2nd (part of the 1st kinda) in Wisconsin it is legal for a 1`7 year old to be in possession of a rifle. Now Imo the laws needs to be tweaked, but again, Kyle didn't break any laws technically speaking. As for being there, I wouldn't want my 17 year old kid there, but like so many others that night he had just as much a right as anyone else.

I remember then the Rittenhouse shootings happened, at the time everyone was screaming and shouting about this and that reason for it. After watching the trial it was pretty clear that Not Guilty was the only reasonable verdict. I think what concerns me is even after the evidence is presented some people (as highlighted in this video) still hold to narratives that are simply factually incorrect.

Another destiny video posted on the 18th with regards to this very issue explains why Kyle broke no laws by having the firearm. Its the video about the prosecutor getting yelled at by the judge one. I'm so tired of people who argue with the confidence of someone who knows all the facts when it's obvious they don't. These people obviously don't know what they're talking about.
One easy way to have fewer of them is to encourage people to have skin in the game. Get them to make falsifiable, specific predictions (with expiry dates) based on their most cherished premises and ideally bet a sum that's not insignificant to them on those predictions.
If they're confident enough to gamble with public policy based on those beliefs, surely they're willing to bet say... a few hundred bucks?

To be fair, when you re rack a gun, the bullet doesn't always eject, it depends on the weapon jam, and the severity. Now I don't believe Kyle re racked the weapon. But I think it's important to know what can really happen.

He pulled the knife out of his pocket before he stands up and walks around to the drivers door. You can hear the cops screaming "He's got a knife! Drop the knife!" and that's why they all backed up and drew their firearms. The knife can be seen in his right hand when he's in front of the van from the video taken across the street. The knife landed in the driverside footwell after he was shot. Rest of the story was spot on though.
He has stated it correctly before but I think he had to say it quickly with such a heated conversation and so many people on the panel.

@Don There is no might have a knife, he admitted in interviews he had the knife in hand when he was tazed, dropped it then picked it up. That is when the cops called out had a knife when they saw him pick it up. Also it wasn't his car, it was a rental that was rented by the woman he assaulted and who he broke an order of protection by going to her residence grabbing her kids and trying to steal her rented vehicle. She is the one who called the cops in the first place.

In short, anything white is racist and almost everything in our nation is now considered white culture in some way. If white is racist and everything is white, then everything is racist. I tried to explain the zeitgeist of this horrendous belief a little, but it hurts my head. His positions here isn't actually correct because Rittenhouse clearly had bad intentions from the start. We already know his background, the kind of parents he has and the positions they hold, as well as the type of people he associated with. He went to another state with an assault rife to play soldier and ended up killing people. This should never go unpunished even if they did in fact defend themselves because they should have never put themselves in that position to begin with. He knew what he was doing.
Vivian's view on "show of force" is so childish. "If you make an adequate show of force, violence doesnt need to happen." You realize that only works IF that other group is intimidated IF not well guess what happens?
If your show of force is not undergirded by a real commitment to violence, then it becomes a totally non-credible threat. Your 'show of force' will not be taken seriously
Yeah she seems to live in a fantasy land where if you just show any amount of "force" (which is still implied violence anyways, idk why she's acting like threatening to kill people is somehow not violent at all) the other party will always just leave peacefully and that they are obligated to do so. Then she makes the leap to "if THEY respond with lethal force then you can use lethal force in self dense," but is COMPLETELY incapable of engaging with the possibility that they just, don't leave, and then what? She doesn't consider that possibility at all. At that point, you either have to let them stay (the sane conclusion, although a sane person wouldn't get to this point in the first place), or you have to actually get explicitly violent, at which point the people being forced out are obviously justified in using self defense, not the other way around. She actually lives in a fantasy land in her head.
