This is the story of Pearlie Mae Bush. Her surprising and interesting story is one that dominated local Eastern Kentucky headlines in 1958. This is a classic true crime thriller. We will also visit her grave.
All photos of Pearlie Mae are indeed her and have been restored, some other photos are used for dramatization. Stay tuned to the end to find out an interesting family connection.

Kentucky is the most beautiful state I have ever been through. I live in Arizona eye tour the World with a musical group so I've seen just about everywhere but when you talk about natural beauty Kentucky is really special.
The country in Kentucky is beautiful to say the least especially a place called the benhiem (?) Forest. but the women in Kentucky are a different story . most of the women in Kentucky over 25 or bigger than a damn Buick! If you go to a restaurant there like Cracker Barrel or Denny's you are going to see some enormous ASS Madam HOGGS! 99% of people who are a pallbearer end up with ruptures of the balls 🏀 when they carry one of these mega ho's to the bone orchard!
My family are mostly from Fleming County.
Mom from Flemingsburg and Dad from Ewing. They are buried in Elizaville, all places you mentioned in the story.

An amazing, tragic story, and you do a good job telling it. I found myself shocked at a couple of points in the story, not the least of which was that she was part of your wife's family.

I have never heard this story before myself. But you tell these stories greatly. I was wondering if you had ever been to the gravesite of Roger Hunter Campbell? He was only 18 years old when he passed away in a plane crash in Belgium in 1961. He had been a member of the 1960 World Championship Figure Skating Team. He's buried in Big Hill Cemetery in Providence Kentucky.
The Vinson Owen family of Winchester, Mass. was also killed in that crash. The mom was a coach and both daughters were on the Women's team. I grew up with that story. They are buried at Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, Mass. There is an elementary school named for them in Winchester.

Hi I did read this, twice in fact. Though I didn't comment I along with my twin was spending mothers Day with our mom in Georgia. So we watched it together. My twin is Neita James, I'm veita but I'm called Vee. She shared all of your videos with me. I subscribed some time ago. James OUR maiden name. Her husband as well as mines are both Federal Agents who work on cold cases mostly. We both 3years of criminal justice. This is right up our Alley. Sad this happened to a member of your wife' family. I'm glad her case was solved. We both enjoyed this video. Appreciate the fact your wife was willing for this tradgic story to be told. I'm sure this happened before Angel was born, never the less I'm sure this has been told by family members. Pearlie . headstone is so small. Glad to know her story and her memory live on. I have never heard this story before, having lived here in Greenup County all of my life and lived on Laurel for 13 years. My husband said the cemetery is located off of Duncan? I looked on Find A Grave and couldn't find it listed. My curiosity 😁.

It’s not listed on find a grave. And some of the listings there aren’t accurate. This is a very small family cemetery. Only 3 Graves. Go on Duncan, travel a little ways up there there. Road will turn to gravel. You’ll see the street sign in the video on the right. It’s up that hill on the left.

My SO's family is from Morgan County and Johnson County (Flatgap). We'd love to see some cemeteries in that area, even if they look abandoned. There are many cemeteries not in Paintsville. I am from Athens, Ohio and enjoy when you go to SE Ohio.
