I’d even go as far to say there’s a few tactical changes that can be made just from the Ipswich game like not letting Bruno take corners and playing immediately to players’ strengths.
I was surprised he didn't start with Ugarte considering that he knew him from his Sporting days. I don't think it'll be long before he starts using Kobbie because the Eriksen-Casemiro combination is far too slow.
I was quite surprised Amorim put Amad as RWB, in which Amad did the job well, a position I'm sure he had never played before. Amorim has balls for sure. I don't think any manager would do that. And I'd rather have the team suffered but gradually becomes better rather than playing the same as we did under ETH. I don't mind we write off this season to become better the next season and so on.
This season is close to a write off, so you may as well try to fully implement Amorim's system from the beginning. It wasn't a good performance, but as Amorim said post match, the players had to think too much about what was required of them in playing the new system, which showed in how they played. There were plenty of sloppy passes that can be attributed to that. It will take time to bed down the new system and some of the players will struggle to adapt. This United squad is bang average will be a mid-table team that will struggle to finish in the top half. I believe Amorim will prove himself to be the best manager/coach since SAF.
Identity comes after suffering. Liverpool got hammered multiple times for sticking to their plan and people questioned Klop in 2017. He persisted and look what happened. MUFC for life ❤️❤️

It doesn't matter who the club brings in to manage the club, unless he is given the time to build a system, develop it and fix a starting XI; at least 3-4 seasons, the results we expect to see won't happen. Look at Liverpool, Klopp didn't win anything in his 1st season, Arteta won the FA cup in his 1st, nothing in his 2nd and 3rd. All the managers who took charge after Sir Alex Ferguson have great CVs. I've been supporting manchester united for 53 year's im 58 year's old im from south africa 🇿🇦 we must give Rubin Amarim time to bring manchester united back to winning ways Eric Ten Hag destroyed the club and Rubin Amarim must sort out all the problems so his a very good manager and couch people must understand football history a couch can't come in and fix the problem's in three days it will take time. I was a former FIFA referee for 25 years in south africa so i know my football history don't judge Rubin Amarim give him time and he will bring manchester united back to winning all the trophys 💯☝️
We can solve the problem if we start from removing Trashford, Casemiro, Dalot, Bruno, Bench Garnacho so that he learns how not to be selfish. Integrate academy players and buy new talent in next summer.
United fan here. He is absolutely right. I know a lot of hype has gone in about him being a savior and all but allow him to work. Allow him to make the mistakes needed to get it right. I get the fans are desperate to get back to winning ways but it ain't happening of night. fact is half of the team need to leave united & things will change quickly the manager Honest and talented united players have reputation given hard time to the manager since Ferguson move out
The likes of Klopp or Guardiola will have a hard time with this squad 😅 The draw are disappointing but it could be worse. But I expect at least 50% win in the next 10 games, and not get hammered by City and Arsenal 😂
Amorim will need time to rebuild this team, he is putting round pegs in square holes and needs most of these players out of the club, the season is a write off anyway so we just need to let the guy get through a few transfer windows to clear out this squad because that is the problem low IQ players brought in by multiple different managers for different systems, we just need to forget this season and let Amorim rebuild this team properly.
This one too green for this job "you WILL see immediately the new identity " Alreay changing that tune after 2days and one game Glazers have screwed utd putting sir jim in charge
baldy tenhàg took the first option won at first and we even finished 3rd but where Amorim is wrong is,when eth chose the first option it didn't stay the same but rather got worse ,I trust this guy it makes no sense winning these first 10 or so matches and then finishing 8th next season
ETH got very lucky in his first season. He got 3rd with a low points total and that included many undeserved lucky wins when United was outplayed. The football was usually shite and the result raised expectations that were never realised. It was all downhill from there.
Squad needs a massive overhaul. Need to get rid of atleast 10+ players, Rashford, Eriksen, Casemiro, Bruno, Antony, Maguire, Lindelof, Evans, Shaw, Dalot and maybe even more. These players are just not good enough and im actually quite disapponted with the line-up Amorim picked yesterday against Ipswich. I thought he would know that certain constellations of players just DONT work, like Casemiro and Eriksen is simply a no-go, you can't play both of them at the same time, they have zero pace and get overrun in the midfield every game. And Rashford as a 9? Come on man. He CAN'T play as a 9, he completely useless at it. I know he scored, but other than the goal he did not provide anything to the team. He don't press enough, terrible hold up play, bad passing, and basically never win any duels. He is way too easy to play against for a proper CB, Dara O'Shea had a field day and pretty much ate Rashford for breakfast. Only reason i see why he picked those players is he thought some experience with Eriksen/Casemiro would work, and he didnt have ALL players available in training because of the International games so he probably just picked the ones he already seen abit in training.

One game, people! Relaxxxxx. We're not winning the league and we're not getting relegated.
What would Ruud have said?
“3W and 1D out of 4”
Amorim on manutd players: they do things that do not need coaching at all, they give the ball away so many times.
Its like having a bad diet for a good number of years, you start eating a bit clean the following week and expect to lose 20Kg in a week (wouldn't that be amazing) but it ain't happening.
Garnacho failed to adopt completely, I don't see him playing in the future
fact is half of the team need to leave united & things will change quickly the manager Honest and talented united players have reputation given hard time to the manager since Ferguson move out
The media gotta relax
Ruben a Manager under pressure after only his first game , the media is brutal , they are getting worser then the England Team.
The likes of Klopp or Guardiola will have a hard time with this squad 😅
The draw are disappointing but it could be worse.
But I expect at least 50% win in the next 10 games, and not get hammered by City and Arsenal 😂
I don't understand what's wrong with 442? I hope the United players don't throw Amorim under the bus because of this formation idea he's firm on.
No more players FC. Any Judas will be out!!!!
City loosing by four goals to the team Ipswich beat, yet somehow the draw in his first game is a disaster. Welcome to United.
Wonder what Ronnie Pickering’s take on it all is
One week in charge and one game with a new formation. Common sense dictates it'll take awhile however the media won't allow it.
In other words we don't have the players
He had only 2 training sessions. I 100% back him
Both current comments have laughing crying emojis. It is an epidemic, but luckily a very fortunate one as it shows you who to ignore
Pls sell rashford. Wish him all the best - he has acheived great things already, so young. God bless.
Man United: Where career's go to end 😂😂😂.
Mark Goldbridge still on suicide watch 😂😂😂😂😂
Ruud van Nistelrooij had moeten blijven.,,
Lets build up from championship 👍🍿🍿🍿
“Middle of the season”… 11/12 games in😂🤦🏽♂️
Is 12 years not a long enough period?
Amorim will need time to rebuild this team, he is putting round pegs in square holes and needs most of these players out of the club, the season is a write off anyway so we just need to let the guy get through a few transfer windows to clear out this squad because that is the problem low IQ players brought in by multiple different managers for different systems, we just need to forget this season and let Amorim rebuild this team properly.
He sounds like Kier Starmer doing his budget speech 😂
He needs time and backing with patience.
Its a disgrace Salah ant offered a contract
Man united fans crying about him losing the first match have zero common sense.
Just started and the future is clear 😂.
Why is it taking long for Man United and not Liverpool?
Because we have bang average players while you have world class players like Salah and VVD and Trent
I will get back here when United is entertaining under under our new manager
Casual fan then?
Bye bye 👋
My assignments should be available by saa tano
Saa Saaba weee
He has so much common sense. Stick to his principles even if you suffer. Big opposite to Ten Hag who seemed to just play for results.
Why not just leave Ruud Van Nistelrooy
This one too green for this job
"you WILL see immediately the new identity "
Alreay changing that tune after 2days and one game
Glazers have screwed utd putting sir jim in charge
He’s barely got to know the players, Jesus… 2 training sessions people!
Sell Rashford
Groundhog day
baldy tenhàg took the first option won at first and we even finished 3rd but where Amorim is wrong is,when eth chose the first option it didn't stay the same but rather got worse ,I trust this guy it makes no sense winning these first 10 or so matches and then finishing 8th next season
ETH got very lucky in his first season. He got 3rd with a low points total and that included many undeserved lucky wins when United was outplayed. The football was usually shite and the result raised expectations that were never realised. It was all downhill from there.
ETh tried to play his way but lost the first two games, then went for the results and got carried away by his purpose
No one can solve utd problems over night, the hype has proven complete BS
2 training sessions he's had with the players and you expect them to win everything?
RA is just younger ETH
United needs "man" manager ala SAF, Don Carlo, Scaloni,, not a tactician ala RA, ETH, Ragnick
This formation does not suit bruno dalot or mazroui at all
Everyone expects results after 1 game…lmao
Wheres Red Ed . Sky ffs useless to bring Ed Sheeran on when a manager from the opposition is talking. Poor poor or deliberate 😮
No need to see which players will improve after more than two training sessions in a new system. Just get rid of them. Lol
👏
