    Just the sense of light in this deck is breathtakingly beautiful. Like the artwork is "infused" with its own light...I bet the paintings are AMAZEBALLS IRL. Thanks for showing! Doh! The 6 of C just sealed the deal.

    I love the walkthrough, and the tower for me, the message that i get from that is, that a lot of people think that their "cards" are build on soild ground, but everybody around them can see its shaking and easy to break. But i love the art in this deck, and i love the cups so much, and i enjoy you walk through of the cards.

    Great walkthrough and I love how you explain your thoughts with each card. Sometimes, the images are undeniably beautiful -- to the point it's difficult to explain why you don't exactly vibe with it. You're doing a great job with that and I admire you for it!!

    Lovely walk through. For the tower card, the black cat to me does represent the foundation. Cats are intuitive and can see in the dark. For me at least, the black cat does represent the foundation aspect of the tradition tower card in tarot. I do love how we all get different feels from the same cards 😍😻

    Lovely walkthrough. I actually don’t resonate with several of the cards in this deck- especially the Empress. She does look sad, and I always think of the Empress as full of life, happy & contented - perhaps even despite the state of the world. Several of the cards are just amazing, though, like the Page of Cups- he totally reminds me of my son😊

    Wonderful walk-through. I'm still considering this deck. I believe Lisa from supportive tarot mentioned the thin cardstock and that put me off. The Atonement card is so interesting. It's depicted in such a prosaic way too considering the concept of atonement. I see this character indulging in life's pleasures, seeing the water birds sudden;y, and having the realisation that life is also about giving back. Blessings x

    • @DawnMichelleTarot

      It does have a little thinner cardstock, I don't mind that so much tho because it makes for a nice riffle shuffle. 🙂

    It’s sort of strange because I guess I didn’t see some of the things you picked up about the 9 of cups, Queen, and King of Cups… now I can’t unsee them! LOL but also I guess I sort of liked the Queen and King of cups as sort of “tacky” and “eccentric” and not that it reflects the traditional meaning but it reflects real life and those sort of eccentric tacky characters that live a life of emotional fulfillment on their own terms… you know the types, the ones who lived in tiny homes and converted train cars long before it was cool and chose chotchsky and flashy albeit “natural” elements to decorate haha! Makes me laugh. I suppose the green dirty sea in the King of Cups is a reminder that we can go too far in our aims when we get older and lose touch with the generations following.
    I was at first pleased with the 9 of cups but since you pointed out the ominous feeling I was also feeling something off but couldn’t put my finger on it so I think you helped me to shed light. I see that card as a reminder to *avoid* the sort of life I DON’T want for myself when I’m old 😂 Even when we level up, achieve, and/or age we can end up the way certain elders we knew ended up and didn’t really want that for ourselves in the future. Great reflections! I like my cards having dualistic meaning. For instance, the opulence with the Queen and King of Pentacles… we all can be swept up in consumerism and excessive collection of resources (whether materialistic or of the earth) when we get to the point where we’ve achieved it… then we swing back to balance if our journey taught us anything worthwhile. We all see those older people who have achieved and still overdo it in cringey ways.
    This was filmed 2 years ago… did you end up keeping it and working with it? I just purchased it and am thinking of cutting off the titles and working on intuitive meaning for the cards.

      I did end up rehoming in because it just wasn't getting any use in my practice. However, I still think it's a beautiful deck!

    Thanks for the walk through. Would be curious to hear what your thoughts are for edging the cards, since the borders in the front of the cards are different colors.

    • @DawnMichelleTarot
      @DawnMichelleTarot  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      For edging I would probably choose a color to match the back, either something in gold and brown. I don't know if I'm going to edge this one or not (mostly because I'm not sure if I'm going to keep it) but that's probably what I would lean toward. 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️

    Thank you, again, for an interesting review. As you say, there are many cards which are confronting for different reasons. It’s not a deck I can see myself enjoying, as I’m still more drawn to traditional cards with clearer matches to RWS, or themed decks which don’t attempt to be RWS clones (e.g. Forest of Enchantment). This deck has a strange mix of traditional and non-traditional cards. It’s an interesting one though, and may grow on me. I appreciate hearing your thoughts. You always bring considerable depth to your walk-throughs. Thank you.

      I am so glad you enjoyed it, I have to admit this is not a deck that's really doing it for me. The artwork is lovely, but I'm just not connecting with it. This is probably one I'll be moving on at some point. 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️

    Thank you for the review. How would you edge this deck? I am trying to find the right color and pen or stamp. Let me know if you have any ideas.
    🌼😀

    • @DawnMichelleTarot
      @DawnMichelleTarot  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would probably go with a Distressed ink stamp in a dark brown color for this one. Then I'd probably overlay it with a light touch of gold stamp to give it a bit of glam. 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️

    Totally agree with the 3 of swords. Seems very out of place. Maybe it was just a favorite card of hers and was sentimental 🤷🏻‍♀️ idk

    Beautiful walkthrough.... the Devil card was my dealbreaker with this deck, for sure, and Dustin got to hear me rant a good bit about it 😂 I agree with your take on these.... and now that I see all the cards, I'm glad I didn't back this deck. The art is really beautifully done, it's just not for me.

    • @autumnrose9344
      @autumnrose9344 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Do you feel like the Devil card in this deck has subliminal distain for the full bodied goddess figure? I do get the idea of the tempter for the devil. But the devil to me is not a negative card, and I feel like the indulger here definitely has a negative connotation to it. She isn't just "overfed, over drunk and over stimulated" she seems slovenly almost? Interested in your reasons for not connecting. If you care to share.

    • @DawnMichelleTarot
      @DawnMichelleTarot  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I'm really struggling with this one. The more I work with it, the more I struggle because some of the cards are a big miss in my book. Beautiful artwork, but I'm not sure I'm going to hang on to it in the long run. Thank you for watching! ❤️

    I really appreciate this walkthrough, Dawn Michelle! I have been off-and-on worried that I didn't back this deck and would regret it. And, while I find the artwork GORGEOUS, I think many of the depictions in the cards really wouldn't resonate with me. So...no regrets. Thank you for putting my mind at ease! 🙏 That said, I hope you enjoy working with it. 💖

    Yeah, your walkthrough confirmed why I choose not to get this deck. The artistry is fabulous but too many of the cards are a miss. Departures from RWS depictions need to be well thought out.

      I admit, I'm struggling with it a bit. There are some cards that as fantastic and some, like you said, are a miss. I'm not sure I'm going to keep it in the long run, but for now I'm struggling through it.🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️
