    Saw that in violet after Katrina . Came down from Wisconsin to help. My wife had just passed and I went down to clear my head.
    Met and became family with many . I'll never forget the older people that would just stand in there yard completely lost . I grew , learned much about people and the goodness in them.

    I feel for the people down there, but this really does sound like the scenario for a zombie apocalypse movie.

    This is why I'm having a natural burial in a willow wicker casket - no vault. 🌊 ⚰️ 🌊

    If you really love them you wouldn't bury them like this you would cremate them. Knowing high water will make the grave float away why would you bury someone that way that's just cuckoo

    I think people should be allowed to live outside the levee protection zones in places like this, but burying their loved ones in such areas seems cruel & heartless.

    If the cemeteries are being flooded in severe storm's, why doesn't the city move the coffin's etc inland? This is ridiculous.

  • @MegaWLd80

    that happened as well in albany, ga....floods of 94 and so on (Great Flood of 1994) what a sad ordeal that was...next of kins had to be contacted to re-identify their loved ones....how grotesque...but it had to be done.

    Not "graves" *or* "coffins". They are either *sarcophagi* or *sepulchers* . Graves are "a place of burial for a dead body, typically a hole dug in the ground and marked by a stone or mound.
    "the coffin was lowered into the grave".

      Ghosts have been haunting NOLA since the pirate Jean Lafitte (and others) was a slaver in the ports! Too many atrocities commited in and around that city to not have ghosts. Trust me. The ghosts have been around for hundreds of years.

    In Scandinavia, cremation is the norm due to permafrost. Perhaps Louisiana might consider this option?

    • @injesusnamewepray46
      @injesusnamewepray46 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Louisiana is mostly Catholic, especially NOLA. Thats a big no no for Catholics.

    • @endwigast5212
      @endwigast5212 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Selan Ryn - In the U.S., the cremation rate has increased over the decades anyway, and today it's close to 60% - projected to exceed 70% by the end of the decade. But if you're suggesting that cremation be made mandatory by law, it's not going to happen for obvious reasons.

    When you live in a swamp which is southern Louisiana, you don't bury your dead in the ground. Hell, you don't even put your swimming pool in the ground. It too will float away when there's too much rain. They know better.

    We should have known that a town named after a pirate who sailed slave ships would have problems. None of the dead under the name of Lafitte rest in peace. All the dead cry out.
    Just wait until the rapture! Louisiana would not be the place to be after that!
