I think the 4th reason is that for some people the All Star resorts are the only way to stay on property. They cheaper than both Pop Century and Art of Animation. For a trip on a single income, the All Stars are a beacon of hope.
Missed the beginning of this playing as premiere, but here to comment. The All Star rooms are a pleasant surprise for the solo traveller. I’m talking the regular rooms. Much more spacious than I expected. Only thing I didn’t like was the noise one time from a connecting room. And their smoke smells. There’s always that one experience…
I've said this before on other channels, and I'll say it again, All Star Music will always have a soft spot in my heart. It was the first resort I stayed at and have nothing but good memories from when I stayed there
Craig, we will miss you. Hannah, you rock! Rhino, you are awesome. I have a Hawaiian wooden tiki god from the Polynesian Resort gift shop around c. 1972. Great review of AS Music
I simply need to say that I watched this when I was having a not so great day and the conversation at the end about Hannah’s paper towel brought laughter to my day and allowed me to have a much better remainder of the day!
This is an excellent review! We plan to use ine of the Family Suites next year, so this information was timed well! I love Hannah's energy! She adds a good feel to the show.
I stayed at the all star music and movies before I stayed at CBR and missed the All Star Resorts. I think they are the perfect size and wonderfully themed. They are good prices and quiet enough.
I have been to WDW three times in my life. The first time, I stayed at the Dolphin. The other two times we stayed at the All-Star Movies. I honestly have to say, I loved the All-Star Movies. We stayed at the All-Stars at the beginning of June with a family of 4. My husband and 6-foot-tall son slept on the Murphy bed, and they said it was very comfortable. Love the price because we are and were in the parks from Early Magic Hours until close. as far as the busses go. When we were there, they were fast. We only had to wait 10 minutes for a bus at any given moment. That was going to the parks and coming back from the parks. We had no problem with the bus schedules.
I recently stayed at ASM on a little solo trip and I actually had a wonderful time. I had always turned my nose up at the Allstars but, honestly, for the price, it was great and not at all over crowded. And I agree… Ryno’s room tours are the best hahaha.
I have pondered if the themes of music and sports were chosen in hopes of giving the huge groups (sports teams, marching bands, etc) that come down for competitions a place that connects to them. Not to mention their proximity to ESPN Wide World of Sports.
We stayed here on our last trip. First value resort due to price. Always stayed moderate before so I wasn't looking forward to it. Gotta say, after day two of ten, I changed my mind! We had adjoining rooms so my brother had his room. Bus look new were long in the morning but we were always first since my brother had an EVC. Pools, rooms, and food court was fun. Would recommend to a friend. Staying at Pop Century next month and looking forward to it😊
we are dvc but when we are not using points we prefer to stay at All Star Music! Great ap rates, super clean rooms and awesome food court. The bus service has always been excellent too. Oh and Cast members so helpful and friendly. We love the Broadway section for a standard room price. 💜💚
No. He clearly said on the goodbye episode with nearly everyone there to wish him well on his future endeavors working for the mouse, that were still a handful of videos being completed/edited that were already shot with him in it. This is one such. Not surprised at all.
10:35 "Oh, pillows. Oh, Jesus!" And I just checked availability for 8/3 - 8/10. $391 a night. Dang, that is impressive, for all the reasons you talked about and more!!!
All Star Movies is my favorite of the All Stars! We stay at the All Stars when we come down for our short trips (2 night trips). When we travel for 3 or more nights, we love Port Orleans Riverside
I love a Ryno room tour! I've always wanted to try a suite here, but we always seem to settle on renting DVC when we need the extra space so we can pick a resort with better transportation options/proximity to the parks.
First time I stayed at Riviera they had the R imprinted in the toilet paper so I took that. And at the contemporary they had contemporary imprinted paper towels so I took those too
@@lisareckmeyer9745 It was there and Ryno specifically commented on it. He referred to it by the brand name “Cuisinart” rather than saying coffee maker.
The best All Star is Movies, but if you have to stay in Music, don’t stay in Country. That area looks like it’s completely overlooked by housekeeping. I stayed in Country on a recent visit, so trust me. 😂
you can actually get your pizza delivered to your room...just saying. But we usually get our pizza and watch the movie by the pool on our non park day. We much prefer the All Stars because they are not too big and if you're driving the distance from Broadway and Rock to the parking lots is quite short. We do prefer the theming because it's the only place in the world where you can stay in the Disney vacation all day long. The Deluxe resorts don't appeal to is except for AKL because you can actually get a great room in the places that they are based on for much less. But then at AKL I wouldn't even want to leave to go to the parks. Some people complain that the pools don't have slides and all but we spend half of our trip at the water parks. I think it's amazing that families can do Disney on more of a budget because I hate the feeling that it's becoming more exclusive to rich and retired people. I think that Disney should be for everyone. we didn't have so much money when we first went to Disney but staying at Music allowed us to go back every year.
I was a 70s Disney kid. We stayed on US192 , east of Medieval Times (not that MT was there back then, just saying that the distance to MK was a few miles. Further than MT. A place called the Colonial Motel. Popcorn ceilings - pops Mickey balloons better than it pops corn 🥹. Those were the times. The second gate was Seaworld! Go to KSC and you have three days of fun. Having stayed in All Stars as an adult, I appreciated and liked the original room themes and furniture. I can’t stand the bleh nothingness of the current rooms. One color: stark white. Generic art. All three All Stars share the same headboard on that one pull down bed/table? That’s worse than each building section looking like the next within each All Star. The OG rooms had charm. The movie/film with sprocket holes being the pattern of the bathroom tile in Movies was so cool! The posters of each movie. The wall border that was themed to match. It was effort that made the cost worth it. $100/nite was outrageous in 2002! But we paid it. Now it’s over $200 WITH a promotion and you get yuck. And I had to pay for parking in 2022 at a value resort? We stayed at Jazz room 2424 (wonder if it still exists or got turned into a suite) in early 2003. Music was nice. But glad we didn’t have to walk further to Broadway or Rock or Incest. The way the early morning sunlight would catch the calypso buildings … it was like they glowed! 🌈 And we stayed 2 nights at Sports by the Surf’s Up pool last year as we waited for mom/wife to fly in (work schedule thing) and it was nice. We only stayed in that same building (6) once - early 2002 - my first WDW trip since 1980 (!) and it was nice. But think my heart belongs to Movies. Except Mighty Ducks. Stayed in all other Movies but luckily not MD and hopefully never. Nothing that a wrecking ball can’t fix. Chose to stay at Movies 8 or 9 times so that tells you something. I like Pop’s 80s and been there twice but would like a 60s pool view room if it wasn’t so outrageously $ these days. Too bad we’ll never get to see the Legendary Years. Somewhere in a drawer I have some printed material saying that Classic Years will be open 2002 and Legendary soon after. Since we drive to WDW I’d go up down Victory Way and Osceola Parkway lafter sundown looking at the glowing Rubik’s cubes. Oh the anticipation! Never realized that All Stars was so great while I was there because I was caught up in why was to come. What came was the conversion of bus/cast entrance to Caribbean Beach being turned into public entrance/exit and the MGM Studios entrance/exit also moving there and ESPN’s majestic sign being hidden by flyovers. What a mess! Movies may be my#1 but I have previously and will still consider calypso in the future.
it's so funny because Ducks is our favourite section of Movies. We're from Canada and yes we play hockey and yes we've seen the movie too many times to count. but more than that it has its own pool and it's just across the road from the main building at Music...so we go to the food court and bus stops there when we stay at Movies
@@rosestewart1606 So you’ve got a great view of calypso! Well, there’s that. At Dalmatians I’ve got a pool to the left and to the right. Fantasia and Ducks. I love the Fantasia Sorcerer Micky pool. The nice thing is every section that doesn’t have a pool is one over from that which does. We’d been assigned Dalmatians a few times in the 2000s to early 10s and the past few years it’s been Fantasia (and always classic 40s version) No matter what enjoy!
