    you are right, i suffered a lot with intestinal/liver issues, gastritis, acidity and identified root cause as curd. When i left it i became normal. Even today after 10 yrs when i take curd i will get stomach pain. None of my friends believe it but my experience is based on facts.

    Thank you so much doctor for such a detailed and fantastic explanation. I knew ayurveda does not consider curd good for digetion but never understood why. How about pazhankanji or fermented rice? Does that count us stale food? Also there is a lot of talk of having stale rice being good to reduce glycmic load as it gets converted to resistant starch. Would love to hear your thoughts on the same.

    Hi Rekha hi
    Yes, you are hundred percent right. I had spent over Thirty thousand pounds sterling with probiotics, tons of yogurts, including all kinds of procedures and I had not made any progress. I was like everyone else in thinking that yogurts or supplements of probiotics will help, but it took me a long time to realise that I & the doctor were wrong. I
    It all started 7 yrs ago when I was on holiday in India, I accidentally drank only half a glass of tap water. To date no one really knows what is really wrong with me.
    I am always on TH-cam with a hope that I will find something to cure or improve my microbiome. To date I have not succeeded.
    I had now decided to go sugar & gluten free. My biggest obstacle is that I suffer from food allergies and can only eat ripe bananas.

    What r ur thoughts on heating curd?
    Many recepies use curd and add it during the cooking process.

    • @doctorrekha
      @doctorrekha  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In Ayurveda, curd is considered a cooling and nourishing food, but its properties can change when heated. Heating curd is generally discouraged because it can alter its natural qualities, making it harder to digest and potentially increasing its heating effects on the body.

    I made and eaten homemade yogurt/curd for years, but in the last 5 years I have switched to making kefir as the process is much simpler. Usually I drink it in the morning with a couple of hard boiled eggs and dried fruit and with lunch. Occasionally I will have some yogurt that my wife bought to finish it up as its been sitting in the fridge too long and have noticed that my stomach has been a bit upset afterwards. Never gave it much thought until this video...🤔

      Please avoid branded packaged curd it is dangerous . It is better if you use fresh curd ( Halwai or Home made ) for making buttermilk. In Ayurveda। buttermilk is amrit but curd is abhishyandi meaning blocker of channels. It should not be very sour

    Ayurveda is not based on scientific research or any modern studies like we do in modern medicine. It is not wise to compare modern medicine with any of the pseudoscience alternatives to modern medicine. Trust and belief is one thing but reality is different. !
