People who blur their plates with their thumb on Facebook market place coming unglued right now
and forget to cover the license plate on window reflections and side views.
People are stupid.
And then also include the vin in the listing.
Kennan: Honey, shall we have Doug over for dinner?
Emily: Dear God no.
Did you notice Emily's laugh at the diss starting at 20:31?
@@fakiiri2645 I also thought i could be Emily who's filming
Emily: Only if he wears 4 t-shirts and stops saying "THHHHISSSSSSSSSSSSSSS" when pointing anything out
Kennan is the type of guy to honk in excitement when he spots a good plate
" Ooooooo a dodge hornet " says Felippo, and literally no one else on earth
I mean I’ve only ever seen 2 on the road.
@@dillonh321seen like 5 of them
Decent car, but kinda bland
Unfortunately, I have done the same with my car friends. Had genuine excitement when I saw a Tonale.
Even the owner didn't say that when they bought it.
Go to any JCDR dealer and you'll see 20.
I absolutely love these absurdly nerdy niche car challenges. It makes me realize there are others like me!
Same, funny how true car people get excited over the same nerdy things
@@kristjanveski just because you get your dick hard over number plates, absolutely doesn’t mean you’re not a “true car person”. It either means you play golf or don’t have any taste. 😁
@@kristjanveskijust because you get hard over number plates, doesn’t mean you’re “true car people”. It just means you play golf, or have no taste. 😁
@@vipvopvoy2350 I don't even want to dignify such an ignorant comment with a response, but you couldn't be more off. Imagine thinking you know someone based off of an innocuous TH-cam comment..
Dude same
7:28 the plate Filippo saw was from Yucatán, which is on the very southeastern edge of Mexico. It actually borders Quintana Roo, and that’s the state where Cancun and Tulum are
bro might've won with that
Was about to say that. It may not be the farthest straight line distance from San Diego (3200 km) but it was a pretty rare license plate.
@@leonflpqzhz4765 Yucatán to San Diego is quite the drive. Probably twice as far as Morelos (what Kennan saw)
Distance from Merida, Yucatan to San Diego: 3015km = 1873mi
Distance from Augusta, Maine to San Diego: 4250km = 2640mi
Maine still wins and therefore the tie still stands. They probably came to the same conclusion and forgot to say it on camera.
If Kennan had found his Finland plates that would have been it
Kennan is the type of guy who is happy to acknowledge Nevada as a good start for 'furthest from San Diego.'
"Well, good to know where the Italian embassy is anyway" killed me
Alaskan watching here. First, Maine is way further away from San Diego than Alaska is, second Alaska no longer requires front plates. Third, Alaska has more coastline than all other states combined.
Are you saying the coast of Alaska and Maine isn't just a cliff thousands of feet high with sharp boulders poking out of the ocean, signifying the edge of the Earth?
I was curious about the distance and looked it up. Maine is about 3,000 miles away. The closest drivable locations in Alaska are probably closer, but Anchorage for example is a 3,500 mile drive from San Diego. Pretty insane!
How about American Territories?
Ice doesn't count as land mass 😂
Juneau is maybe but the vast majority of alaska is way further. Your qualification means nothing
The Mexican plate that Filippo saw was from Yucatan state, on the very edge of Mexico (by the Caribbean)
He spotted a Morelos one too!
Maine is farther “as the crow flies”
Yupp that is right!
Mexicano aqui, Measure distances and now I'm sad
@@AdamAuxier64I think Kennan spotted Morelos and didn’t realize it lol. Then Doug spotted that VW Amarok and didn’t pay attention since that would’ve been Mexico plates too.
Semi trucks and trailers would be a good way to find plates from the other side of the country or Mexico/Canada
They are pretty much all registered and plated from Indiana. My guess is tax reasons.
I don’t think so. In North America the only places further than Maine and Quebec would be Nova Scotia, PEI, New Brunswick, or Nunavut. I’ve never seen a truck from those places in my life, all the Canadian trucks are from QC/AB/ON/BC.
I love how Kennan just exposes Doug in every challenge video
“License plate says Ocean 1, seems like Ocean lost.” LOL.
Kennans knees against the dash is so bothersome. LOL
People in Maine have never seen a beach?! 😂
Maine has a ton of nice beaches along its vast coastline. They may not be usable all year round, but they are there!
Doug needs to look at a map.. 😂
@@abecks8093rocks and freezing water are not a 'beach'.
Maine has rocks and cold water. For sand, they go to Massachusetts. Then they go home because people from Maine don't like to leave.
The best part about San Diego car culture is seeing Suzuki Jimnys randomly parked on the street
yea. I saw a Renault Duster with Baja California plates on Naval Base San Diego and walked to In and Out and saw a Chery Chinese car that drove in the lot
Doug is like the rich guys on the movie Rat Race, where they're so rich and bored that they just come up with challenges to bet on. Like how long the maids can hang on the curtain rods.
Kennan really sits like an old grandma who can't get too close to the steering wheel. The guys legs are jammed up to the dashboard.
Hahahaha. So true…. But, thats how you drive an E39…😂
@@jort1207 it’s true, anyone over 5’10” is subject to the same position. Being in the drivers drivers seat feels comfortable but it definitely looks awkward
That Abarth seems very fun to drive around with the roof open and the angry little engine sound.
The editing is positively hilarious
I just watched this video in North Park (San Diego) and the first car I saw when I walked outside was a dope S60 Polestar from Maine.
I think a game idea that would be interesting to see you guys do in the future would be identifying cars by lit up head lights alone. Like how you would see it at night and guess what car they belong to. Both regular everyday cars and then the more rarified super/hyper cars on the list.
Car spotting challenge: Spot as many Mexico market cars that you can’t buy in America.
Doug missed a nice one in that VW Amarok
I live in Vancouver and grew up when we had Expo 86. We kept track of all the plates we saw during that time. Saw all 10 provinces, both territories, and 44 states.
This video feels exactly like the old Top Gear with May, Clarkson and Hammond. I really haven’t enjoyed watch a TH-cam video this much in awhile. Well done
Honestly, how does this remind you of top gear? This is literally nothing like what they used to do.
Mainer here to break the tie on distance. Since you can't find the zip code for the plates, we can go off the dealership stickers on the Maine cars. By that logic, the dealership the red truck was purchased from is farther away than the dealership of the blue RAV4, meaning that Keenan and Filippo would win.
Why did they didn’t consider the Quebec plate? It’s further than Maine.
It’s little further north from New York.
@@Rom3_29 it depends, because it’s a large area. It goes north, west AND east of Maine.
Quebec City (capital) is ~2500 miles from San Diego, whereas Augusta, Maine is ~2600. If they based it on capitals, at least, it would be Maine, but if not, then Quebec has the potential to be further if they could nail down a specific area. But very close either way
@@rc_player Yep, the only provinces which would have beat Maine are New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland. Edit: and Prince Edward Island
@@JoeUrbanYYC Newfoundland plates in California would’ve been awesome
16:56 its a gray mitsubishi with no plates at all, so he must be from nowhere! furthest place yet😂
WHAT A BRABUS WITH A AFTERMARKET PLATE?!?! Kennan you win in my opinion even if it’s not for the plate that’s an amazing find
"... and then I had kids." Literally lol, and I feel ya.
Never knew how competitve doug was until these cars & bids videos
Great video very entertaining, music was distracting
Yeah, the music choices were weird at times and it was way too loud when they returned to the bunker.
“Meanwhile Kennan’s probably at a mall” 😂
lol the music is so weird on this one
love that the massachusetts plate at 8:37 expired in 2022
Classic Massachusetts. Going on a cross country trip with your tags 2 years out of date 💀
As someone who may or may not have '22 Mass tags in CA, it's nice to know I'm not alone.
I love that, even with access to any car your heart could desire, you guys are still the biggest car nerds I've ever seen. Don't lose your passion.
Hawaii plate on an toyota x90 chassis that is a wiiiiiiild spot lol
I love these so much!!
that mexican plate was from YUCATAN, that was the winner
Maine is farther “as the crow flies”
So Fillipo won?
there's any Mexican state that is as far as Maine is from San Diego
These videos are so entertaining to watch!! lol
The greatest automotive challenge series since the old Top Gear!
(And! More creative)
I didn’t realize this was a toilet, and not a comment section
Love these videos with friends!
I truly love these challenges ^^
Doug is the type of guy to get behind you when you ask him to tie your shoes.
I do the same, BTW. Interesting to see we have even more in common.
“Even though they don’t have any Rhinos” Doug’s Zoo Reviews 😂
Please never stop doing these
GREAT game! Well played by all.
Such a cool concept and a great team
filippo done found a yucatan plate and didn't notice, i dont think it would have been further from san diego than maine but it is one of the furthest away parts of mexico from there.
another win for big dawg
Lmao Doug has literally been to Maine - he should no damn well one of the only things we have is beaches😂
Kennan and Fillipo won. The frontier had a Charlie's Augusta dealer sticker which is 45 minutes north of Emerson Toyota in Auburn.
Flip Flops Filippo, like always ✌ fun game, love you guys.
As a local san diegan, I love these spotting videos. Might need to start Doug spotting.
As a local myself, my friends and I have indeed engaged in Doug spotting when we see him from afar at Cars and Coffee lol
Don't be so rude to Doug. No need to spit on him 😅
@@epsilontiger autocorrect definitely trying to suggest something
As a license plate nerd, thank you for this video.
Doug is totally going to make this video again next week. Not being outright winner must have killed him 😂
7:30 I believe that is Yucatán, Mexico
silver yaris with kennan...cool!
I just like the fact that Doug is titled "big dawg"
Having done BMW European Delivery a few times, those new US-spec cars arrive at the US dealer still wearing their authentic German (export) plates. Some friends and I leave them on our cars in front (IYKYK), with the proper CA plate in back. As a San Diegan, my M2 could have helped one of you to win!
did saw a Dutch plate on an Audi Q5 in San Diego a while back. Also seen Land Rover Defender camper with Aussie plates in San Diego before.
Hey! We have beaches in Maine! (And we mostly drive Subarus - it's the unofficial state car.)
Correct Doug! People from North Carolina are like “I don’t wanna go to California”
Doug, I absolutely love the sunglasses
I’m just happy to ride around in Doug’s e450 with him. I’d love an ownership update on that wagon!
The embassy idea was brilliant. Too bad it did not bear fruit.😮
Maybe military bases
Doug doesn't know spices. Cumin, cinnamon... lol only Kennan
Kennan you gotta move that seat back man that's brutal
8:00 I can't believe that Doug didn't notice the Volkswagen Amarok
Maine has some awesome beaches Doug…
Abarth! Foooooorza. ✌
I feel like I won something. I was "Like" #777. Great video. Good chemistry and great editing. Enjoyed the video. Keep doing what y'all are doing. Cheers!
16:54 JZX90 Spotto
If you listen closely to these videos it seems clear that Kenan and Filipo don’t like each other. It also seems evident that they were both hired because they consistently express admiration to Doug.
Flying J in San Diego would be full of trucks from Canada
All these challenges favor Doug by using/appealing to his interests.
Love kennens Valentino one 😅
The probability of seeing US number plates in Montenegro (it's in Europe for those who don't know) is much higher than seeing European plates in San Diego.😊
Québec for the win!
"I can also see Doug going downtown" quite literally
Kenan’s whip looks so nice
Doug is Clarkson, Kennan is May, and Filippo is Hammond 😆
I was behind a Alaska plated car here in South Florida today
There are quite a few European motorcycles in the US since it's way cheaper to ship a motorcycle than a car. If they would've had more time, maybe roads / gas staions near the border crossing would've been a good spot since a lot of riders visit Mexico as well.
Classic reasonable Douglas 24:50
A plate from Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon would have been really nice to spot.
7:59 doug missed a volkswagen amarok
I’m surprised he did, and didn’t geek out over it.
Wish you guys saw me when I drove by in my Miata from Georgia!
Doug driving around 50% shitting on the other guys saying how stupid they are and 50% stressing out about finding a Maine plate, meanwhile both the other guys already have a Maine plate in the pocket 🤷🏻♀️
A week ago I saw a Japan and a Puerto Rico license plate the same day! 🤯
This should be done again in 2026 with world cup on
Doug is the type of guy to say people from maine have never seen a beach
16:54 yooo isnt that a jzx90 mark 2
As a San Diego native, I always wonder if most of the audience is completely lost when they start naming areas of the city lol.
My first stop would have been the USS Midway parking lot.
Also from San Diego. That lot is so small. Seaport would've been a solid spot as well. I would've gone to Torrey Pines Golf, and stopped on the way at UCSD and Black's Beach parking lot all 5 minutes from each other. Best chances for international plates.
A couple of days ago, I saw a car from South Australia in Germany, which is about 15,000 km away.
Doug just coming up with the most unquote challenges 😂
Goofy ah music in the beginning 😂😂
Quebec City, Canada, is farther from San Diego than Augusta, Maine, as the crow flies.
Here are the approximate straight-line distances:
- San Diego to Augusta, Maine: about 2,600 miles (4,180 kilometers).
- San Diego to Quebec City, Canada: about 2,780 miles (4,475 kilometers).
People in Maine have never seen the beach except for the folks that live on the 228 miles of coast line. Last summer I went to the beach….in Maine…and I’m from PA.
Is that Emily laughing at Kennan's jokes?
