Thanks Trevor.....I loved being on the terraces at our spiritual home. The seating spoilt the atmosphere a bit, but still better than any other ground. Not happy about moving to a ground with such a distance between the pitch and crowd, but we need to win things and to compete with the big clubs.
You Bishop, Jimmy Quinn etc gave us some excellent memories and thanks for that.
    Up the Hammers !!
The best goal ever scored at that ground was Slaters volley (ball dropping over shoulder), from a Dolan flick on, its a shame more people have never seen it.

Mr Morley sums it up quite well. Can't believe it no longer exists. When you are young, progress seems like a positive thing, when you get older it feels more like a kick where it hurts. That's our lives they're stripping away and what for? The corporate Premier League money machine. The move hasn't allowed us to grow as a footballing club, but rather as a money making enterprise. We blew it guys.

Glad i stumbled on this he and Jimmy Quinn made me and my mate quite a few Bob as we used to do them as first goal scorer especially away from home and the odds used to be a lot better than now days often around 10/1 COYI ⚒⚒

Enjoyed Trevor’s football at Northampton specially when they walked the 4th division. Believe he scored the winner when the Irons beat Leicester 2nd division 1992?

I know what you west ham fans feel like
I stopped watching arsenal in 2002, when arsenal announced they would be leaving highbury
All these years later i have not watched them since, makes me laugh how bad they have been since leaving highbury.
Will always remember standing on the north bank at highbury as a kid
No highbury, no arsenal for me
Makes me laugh how bad arsenal have been since they left highbury, all down to arsene wenger, and david dein, total fools, who destroyed arsenal
So, i totally understand why you west ham fans will always regret leaving upton park, ie west hams real home
Highbury was arsenals home, and the north bank was our main stand, and its gone forever
So, i understand why you hated leaving upton park, your new stadium will never be the same
