How ppl dares to down vote such helpful videos, like cmon. Shes including for you interesting parts of japanese language like how native speakers would say that which textbooks doesnt include and u are still able to down vote what is more she is doing that in her free time just to help u understand japanese. Great job Misa! 私はもっとビデオを見たい!

To help me understand this confusing verb conjugation, I listened to this video again and laid down the “reasons” for the changes. Treat the たい form (want to) as “I-adjective “, then follow the rules governing the I-adjective conjugations. To change from present tense to past tense, you replace い with かった; to change from positive to negative, you replace い with くない. So “want to” is “~たい”, “don’t want” is “~たくない”, and “wanted to” is “~たかった”, and “didn’t want” is “~たくなかった”(changed from “~たくない”). With this in mind, I am able to slowly construct the correct conjunctions for this “want to” form in Japanese. Thanks again Ms. Misa for your very informative videos. I have been your subscriber for couple years, and I am now reviewing my Japanese. 👏👏👏👏👏from🇺🇸. Another memory trick can help you to remember: To say “don’t want to”, you insert “くな” between “た” and “い”, and you get “たくない”; To say “didn’t want to”, insert “くな” between “た” and “かつた”, and you get “たくなかった”. Pretty neat, right?

Hi Misa! I'm learning Japanese now and I first chanced upon your channel when I was searching for katakana instructional videos. May I say that yours were THE best instructional videos I've ever watched and I can now read all the letters just by watching them once! It's wonderful how you include so many examples to help us reinforce what we've learnt. Thank you so much for making these awesome videos. どもありがとうございます!
