Lol at people in the comments try to downplay your comments. 'Educated' elders'. 'Serious' elders lol. *Without an education they still have a wealth of life experience and knowledge that we will never have.* And no education can teach us some of what they lived through. And there are many stories and things only they can tell us, even if they were saying it 'playfully'.
Lol how why are people so sprung up on allowing people like our elders receiving the respect they deserve 🤷‍♂️

When Dr. Anderson started speaking about the black communities in every major city it reminded me of what my 90 year old great grandmother told me! She said we had everything in our communities for us by us and she didn’t desire to be in the white communities, she absolutely loved the way life was during her time……

She is right I am late seventies. We held our heads high were defined by our parents, neighbors , teachers, Pastors ,Church Families . They defined us with positives no t deficits and negatives. The children of late seventies and eighties were defined by Socialists , phycologists, Media Pundits and journalists ,who had no real clues to our culture .These folks defined by deficits and negatives
The children of the ni ties walked into those definitions.

Religion is one thing that has been the biggest distraction and has taught us exactly what he said. Care about everyone except your own. We give mote and still own the same amount of wealth as after slavery? The money can be used in better ways to empower our people. Dreaming hoping and wishing for a mansion in the by in by and streets paved with gold is not gonna generate the wealth we need to empower us economically.

Nah, you gotta say that a different way, IMAGINE IF OUR PARENTS LISTENED TO HIM. But just like everybody is trying to hate on ADOS now, they hated on him BACK THEN. The EXACT SAME THINGS they try to call ADOS is the SAME THING they said about him during his time. The media, and "black leaders" called him anti immigrants, right wing, hate group etc etc, JUST LIKE how dumbasses like talib kweli and others try to diss ADOS now! Its a damn shame. This is why I say negros are doomed. Because ADOS says almost exactly the same thing now, but they negros too busy trying to be unified with folks who are COMPETITION by way of the system rather realize it or not. Thats why, Native Black American/ADOS people have to get SPECIFIC and SELFISH. And on another note, notice how he wasnt able to go hard on how immigration negatively affects Native Blacks, he usually goes all the way in on those points.

You say something negative about a white person they’ll get angry with you calling you racist. Black people have to get out the Christian churches. Christianity is a false religion more deadly than crack cocaine. Yet they’re waiting for some white man named Jesus to come save us. That’s not intelligent. How can we believe anything white people tell us? We should never let our enemy teach us our history or religion.

      Common Sense Logic and Reason
There are myriad reasons, one being the result of years of negative cultural conditioning we refer to as white supremacy (which is actually white fragility), which leads to the mindset of being a permanent underclass, secondly we have those who would rather patronize businesses owned by other races as Dr. Anderson attested to in the video, to buy colder, or smoother, ice. Then you have those who are envious of successful black business owners as well as those who would rather scheme and scam their own people than come together to solidify our financial, cultural and social infrastructure.

Can I ask why it seems to be a certain hesitancy for Cornel West to be more widely known for his work, intellectualism, and perspectives regarding "Race Matters"? That book really gave me a very unique and life changing perspective. Especially since I was a Black kid that did not grow up in the harsh struggles of the city & lived, not middle class or anything, but still a life of a little more privilege than a lot of my Black classmates. Mr. West really broke down a lot if things for me that I subconsciously felt but didn't ever have the right articulation to say out loud.

The thing that makes me bring him up here is that he's also criticized some of the methods and thoughts that Michael Eric Dyson has purported. I've always felt like something was off with Mr. Dyson with his strongly opinionated stances on the Democrat party. Any Black individual in the public space should be Black first and not concerned with a certain allegiance to a particulat politician group or committee. Dr. Wesling is another that I had found out about in recent years that I'm truly enjoying her work and research. Peace be with you & prosperity in your endeavors.

It is deeper than that ....the Courts of the United States are ruled by specific 'so-called Elites' (for one Illuminati; the Royals of World, etc.). That is one reason why even when neighborhoods are created; if you notice in poorer and 'ghetto type' areas there are liquor stores galore...they are placed there to get people more dependent. Look at the many drug dealers that are in certain neighborhoods and seemingly the 'protective agencies; police force, task forces; government agencies'; cannot seem to get those types of activities to a halt or completely dissolved. It is not a fantasy of what I am saying...just look around you or look at areas where this is going on....and seems to never cease. It is planned that way...because there are certain weaknesses that attract people and keep them down. For instance, there are many channels on here showing real footage of the beautiful and magnificent brownstones that Black people owned (not rented, but owned); Black businesses that thrived. Once the Heroin addiction became widespread; those same Black-owned brownstones and businesses were going bankrupt and many buildings are still boarded up and damaged. Many things are put in areas that Black people live to weaken the structures of their minds. This destruction had a HUGE impact on the Black families that lived in those once-thriving communities.

Angry Judah92 Angry Judah92 you clearly weren’t listening. He said it’s a “team race”, as in you unify as a team to succeed. All that “light skin/dark skin bit” is from white folks to set blacks apart to set the community back. And you misinterpreted what he said about Africans. He said Africans don’t need reparations because they’re not native blacks. Native blacks were stripped of their culture, stripped of their “Africanness”. He wasn’t being negative towards Africans, he’s just stating that they don’t have the same history as native blacks do.

Tha_SilverBlack_16 look at the focus on black people, celebrity gossip, sports or all things that don’t empower us. Until we have a real honest talk with ourselves about who we are and what we are we are through. All this people of color crap and minority talk wont do us anything. Plus the real issue black seem to avoid and that’s the collapse of our family structure. Honestly how many black do you know who married recently? Who and where are black families making moves? Color BECAME a real thing. It is crucially important to realize it wasn’t always so. Dr Claude gave some powerful incite into the injustices that put us black people at a significant disadvantage and some real solutions that may allow us to catch up economically. In our attempt to catch up we have to be careful not to make the same mistakes as some powerful whites who made color a real thing. The danger is that we will be forever trapped in this “race” with whites. Skin color should have no more significance than eye color. The ideal should be to get even economically. Not seeing color is an ideal to be strived for, its different from not be aware of injustice.
