There is going to be another Ice Elemental weapon added during the Christmas event. They're called the Tenebrous weapons. Libra seems to not been intended to last very long or at all.
Primm Libra helps a lot on Purple Trigger for our friend Nils.. not want to spoil anything but if you have no tech class arround you will be happy to have one. Especially with bow and charged frenzied firework😊
Even in that case waiting for the Christmas event weapons would still be better. So while there is niche usage for Libra for people who don't/won't min max it's still a skip.
I unfortunately fell for the trap by picking up a primm libra weapon after hearing Kaizaar(I have a very good augmented kaizaar weapon) was bad, but before augmenting the weapon after looking on the visiphone, I had the suspicion that this would straight up be a downgrade from what I went into Stia with. I see my suspicion has been confirmed, so my Kaizaar weapon is gonna be good until I get my kouklophis weapon
The tickets are the one big miss of Stia. In Kvaris the ticketb weapon as an instant upgrade that carried you well till you got your Kaizaar or 0.001% drop chase weapon.
Yeah I didn't replace mine till the event version of the ticket weapon (managed to get a fixa atk 5 one) and then kaizaar. This I'm like this isn't better than what I got. And I already can complete stia purple with a good team. And if not still hit the 4th so farming for the infernum weapon especially if they add some in the event shop, will make it a complete waste of augments to do anything with. Like next week if I want I'll have it, shop infernum or not.
Need test more but using the effulgent weapon on the uq nilis vera, lets turn piles of ice into throwable ones. But I need test more. just heads up in that regard
The answer is simple. They went with situational weapon potentials, something we as players been asking for years. And they delivered. All the 7* weapons and 8* are viable to use. And the 8*, are so situational that determine a clear winner is hard. Sure primm Libra dps is not stellar, but the Elemental damage and the additional elemental down brought with it are great on Purples. Same applies to Kuko and Effulgent and even more so to the upcpming event weapons Tenebrous. If you use just one weapon on this patch, you are gimpying yourself out of fune and tons of utility
ironically, this is what hurts Gunblaze a bit, as you can't really weapon swap with it. As a pad Force player, this really sucks as the easiest way to play Force on pad requires multiple weapon slots
I went with x30 inferniums route, got my Kouk katana weapon fixa 1 and upgraded to +50 with potential lv4 and augments on it im not complaining at all xD
There's gotta be something we're missing. It just makes no sense for all these new 8 stars to be weaker than our old 7 star weapon. Is it really just crit rate beating out higher damage because it's more consistent?
The 7 stars were END GAME seven stars of that region. These are freebie catch up 8 stars. They are not meant to be END GAME weapons. They are filler. I don't know why everyone thinks these are supposed to be some god tier weapons.
There likely will be an update next month regarding better weapons. As of right now it seems to be more focused on utility and catch-up. After all every region this far has had a part 2 update at some point so keep racking up resources and prep for the future.
To be honest tho there’s a handful of player’s that can pull it off without taking dmg the other half not so much I know one of clan mates that have the gunblade they said it’s like you can’t no dmg from anything that’s why they jst went bck to there rugged they still really good tho

It’s a bummer how weak the Primm Libra weapons are. But I think instead of it being too weak, the problem was more on how insanely strong the Obsidia and Crystia weapons were. Especially with Crystia, as it was so easy to get a good lv3-5 fixa on it. I do think that Primm Libra is worth picking up as there are some gimmicks where ice element is useful, and it is effectively the only weapon series that provides HP regen. But again the event weapon will destroy it, and for me it’s totally useless anyways as I am a wand main 🫠 So far all the 8 star weapons available aren’t that appealing to me stats wise, but their designs are insanely good. I’m definitely getting the Kouklophis and Gunblaze camos no matter what ☺️
libra is fun for sword hunter to help offset chip damage not the best but it is very very comfortable as for the rest one problem you are forgetting and its what makes obsida so good and kaisar good is potential w crit rate is king on 7/8 star weps because of their MASSIVE damage window of 50% because of that crit chance is king since crits dont care about the window/potency floor for that reason alone effulgent and gunblaze are amazingly good solid weps without fixa and with well thats no contest only kaisar and obsidia compete and that is where the klophos weps fail they have huge dmg huge potential potency and more vs dolls and defense but that’s fairly meaningless if it creates less than the others meaning it is at the mercy more often of that horrible damage window basically requiring you to invest in potency floor to get the most consistent dmg from it even vs dolls now if you wanna do mastery 4 dread 4 and addi deft on all armor and the wep sure you can pump the floor up substantially but your losing total potency compared to other weps and still critting less so it is a net loss dps and the best one you could get would be fatale if you can get one w fatale (can they?) they are def nice meaty beat sticks and an easy first 8 star if someone doesnt have libra or obsidia etc but they even for the purpose say purple triggers or dolls uq bosses are still inferior not by a massive margin not counting crits but the augments needed to make them get closer to the rest is a huge investment i will say if nothing else they looks awesome and again arent bad but id rather work towards kaisar again even if its worse a grind for since thats a superior wep or grind ordinal for possible obsidia w fixas to add to the free ones we get right now gunblaze is basically the new rugged in terms of obtaining it and its kaisar 2.0 stats wise its so good w effulgent being solid overall w its potential and stats too then obsidia kaisar then the rest of the 7/8 star field
Can i get the colour numbers for your main and sub skin? I wasted like six salon passes trying to make dark skin and every time i left the salon she just looked red
Question does the damage calcs take into affect the crit and boosts to crit damage from say the fighter add on skill or not? And if it doesn't how would that impact obsidia vs kouklophis?
Krono, did you take in consideration the 10% additional elemental damage against enemies without a weakness to that element? I'm preatty sure this is a mechanic in the game wich brings Libra's power to 661. (Even though it only shows 601)
I have nice obsidian wand with fixa 5%crit..I made new kouk wand with fixa 1 attack..killing level 74 pangalon was about 10 seconds on avg..faster w kouk ..2.07..vs 2.18 with obsidia
I'm not surprised a lot of people are panning Primm Libra. Defensive builds aren't anywhere near as popular as minmax damage/crit etc in this game. Personally for me the Primm Libra is awesome. My Kvaris build already takes 2-3 sometimes 3-4 hits from gigantix depending on the enemy, but as I play on controller restasigning is not always easy. I have to either assign it to my weapon palette and waste a slot or I have to scroll back and forth to the restasign on sub palette. Annoying in the battles where healing would be necessary. With Primm Libra now I can just focus on keeping my blocks and DPS up long enough for it to restore me. Before I would actually die sometimes by getting hit while scrolling to the restasign. Annoying. Primm Libra good I don't care about being 2% weaker because im usually the only one alive to revive others in this game anyway lmao
Kuoklophis is the way to go...much more useful and balanced for Purple Triggers and emergencies. Gunblaze potential is great but punishing for close-combat. Unless your a perfectionist. Im still using obsidia cuz mine got fatale 4 on it....
With how doldoris work not getting damage kinda hard especially in the 32/32 room giga hunt barely can see what the boss doing. I like it better than Gunblaze.
How is the farm for it alright? I've been wiping out gigantix/dreads/uc bosses/Combat zones since update and I haven't had a single drop of any of the new weapons

elemental weapons can actually cause elemental downs regardless of the extra attack the the first elemental weapons had. This includes freezing ice weak rorons belly by just hitting it with a primm libra weapon. My primm libra fixa 1 is doing more damage toward ice weak dolls than my fixa 3 kouk. I think things are being overlooked or the moot fact that primm libra doesnt have a pew pew potential is an unfair factor. Kouk in the end is for taking hits from dolls better than the rest. So, i'll keep using my primm libra vs ice enemies over obsidia, even vs ice weak dolls over kouk, since i dont really need the damage reduction. Effulgent can also cause ele downs. you can also light nils stia ice shards and bombs on fire without techniques using effulgient. Effulgients main weakness as far as stia goes is only the UQ bosses of stia are fire weak. This series is pretty pointless in stia outsude of those. So i'll keep using my fixa fatale 4 effulgiant over all others vs fire weak enemies. Overall I believe they made each of these weapons good for the situations their elements or potentials, and combinatiom of, would suggest. Imo it comes down to whether or not youre willing to augment more than one mw per class for use in stia. If not, then its obsidia as you say, or even kaisaar if youve got that. Going for kouk is fine too but i think thats more of a defensive alternative than the pewpew people desire most. I'm also kinda glad you didnt mention that gunblaze series, because imo that things only for the top 1% glass only dont-get-hit-ever types. Things potential effects becomes useless gor 15 seconds if you arent a pro, and i dont see myself or most others not getting hit occasionally by stias main soul bosses, especialliy Dolder.9
It's tied to a title. Beat the last rank in ordinal tower with a set score with a class as your main class and you'll get that specific class's weapons as obsidias. I beat it as waker, techter, force and fighter main class and upon beating them at the specific score or higher I get the weapons. Meaning I got two talis, one wand, one harmonizer, one rod, and one of every hunter weapon (I went there for knuckles so I forget the other weapons)
is it still possible to play the original PSO2 or do we have to wait for a PSO2 classic at this point? is it worth playing/do they still update that game if so?
You can still play classic lol it's always just been there(you can get to it in the black transfer menu) as for should you play it now? Considering its pretty dead for the most part (well on ship 4 atleast) makes it alot harder to farm for endgame stuff but if you just want to do its story then it's fine. And no it's no longer updated anymore.
The seasonal event is over so the seasonal augment no longer works. Crystia is a good mobbing weapon now but that's it. I want to upgrade to Gunblaze when I get the chance.
I think the 10% crit is in affect for the damage calc but idk about the fighter sub skill which boosts the critical potency. Also I may be wrong but slower attacking weapons may not benefit as much.
Crystia could be good for mobbing and PSE bursts with that potential, but I kinda want to upgrade from mine to maybe gunblaze, since I play hunter and I'm basically never taking damage. I legit went from Renaissa to Crystia so I think I need something better.
gunblaze with hunter is kinda risky imho if you timed wrong with avernger, that's gg i would actually go for kuku since it has damage reduction incase of wrong timing also good additional DR for Hellish Full Charge Tanking

Epitize armor honestly isnt a upgrade from the previous armor set. That extra 1% potency aint worth losing the 30 hp and 4 pp from the last armor set.

I already have an obsidia harmonizer, can I get another one with a different weapon like TMGs or sword if I do the ordinal tower again?

I think if u don't care for the reductions alts 4 gives, it gives a higher overall potency compared to mastery 4
