You've found an old classic, restored it, then taken it out & enjoyed it. Proof you don't need the latest & greatest to have fun in the bush. Great to see the little 2 stroke being used the way it should be 👍

Shit you giggle the same as me when I ride my DT 175 through my woods. Currently nursing a broken fibia my DT crushed it, my fault. ride safe.

My 250 almost did that to me too so I make sure to use by Big Boy boots now.

I have a dt175 1986. It's the best bike I've ever owned. Nothing like riding all day going home and just putting her away. Very little maintenance and starts everytime

I found a 1986 DT175 on a verge collection and all it took to get it running again was clean the carb and replace crank seals. Great little bike for beginners to learn how to ride and maintain a dirt bike . Fun bike too ride ❤

Great little bike! Seems to have some grunt for it's size

I just purchased this exact model! Do you have any direction on where I could buy some replacement parts? Like fenders and side panels?

For regular maintenance stuff like spark plugs, fork oil seals, most nut and bolts...your local Yamaha dealer should be able get those for you. Tank, plastics, frame, the big components I would try ebay. It may be a waiting game on some stuff as it is not always available. Maybe even search craigslist. You might find a non running DT you could use a parts bike.

LOVE IT. I'm 55 and finally got my own DT. No more sponging off of friends. '79 250F
Have you modded yours? She sounds great. We're porting mine a bit soon.

Dude where the fuck are you? North of Seattle here. I've and an RD350, RZ350, DS-7/350 and now the DT. I love your channel but only found it because I searched DT175 specifically.
    Peace.

Midwest - Nebraska. No mods. MAN, your 250 rips!! I love it. You have a RZ350?!?!?! oh ma gawd!
Seriously cool my friend. My buddy Damien has one too. Thanks for finding my channel!

@@DigitalRider Sorry the RZ is gone as is the modded '72 250/350 but the DT is a Good Compromise because it's my only true "dirtbike." And she runs much better after I cleaned out the final carbon at the spark arrester. I had burned it out a bit before but this time I got it ALL. facebook.com/KingCast/videos/10219200112413229

@@KingCast65 My 92 YZ250 had a clogged arrester when I first got it. I used oven easy off spray and a pick to clean it. But never put it back on as it ran sooo much better without it. Kept it incase I rode somewhere where it was required.
