Just got my great uncles 75’ dt175, just needs a carb clean, gas tank clean and a new clutch and it’ll be great, won’t run right now because carb is clogged. Was running a few days ago
that was my first bike! i was 14yrs.then.now im 60yrs.ridin my 6th harley davidson.flhx i learned on that 175 that you do not apply the front brake that hard going down hill.i was launch about 25feet.
I have a 1976 Yamaha DT 175 Enduro, it has 355 miles on it, all original, even the tires, starts at first kick, registered in pristine condition. Help me!!, how much can I sell this lovely ride....
I just scored a 75 DT 175 same color but running and complete. Problem is none the electronics work except the horn. Yes, new 6v battery installed. Any recommendations appreciated.
Unfortunately, the 6 volt battery just doesn't have the power to run the horn. I have the same problem with my 1974 Yamaha DT250. I actually sold the 175 to my cousin a few years ago. Kinda wish I would have kept it, but I just didn't have enough room in the garage, and my cousin is pretty happy with it.
Just got an 81 DT175, and was wondering if you knew where I could get a cushion like you have on the rack behind the seat? I looked around online a bit but didn’t see anything
I have a 1975 125 enduro and I can’t find anything on these things online.. my 75 will only create spark with the battery in? And it won’t charge the battery..? Any ideas?
Why don't Yamaha Honda or Suzuki build a simple everyman two stroke like this today? Is it emissions, noise? These were an engineering marvel reliable simple cheap and a joy for the average folk
I actually came across somthing like this but I don't know crap about it and its really messed up I have lots of questions about it and want to fix it up and make a monster out of it would love to pick your brain
I'd love to help but no longer own the bike. Had it only a couple of months before I sold it to my cousin, who kept bugging me to sell it to him. Wished I kept it.
Wow first bike I ever road. 1973 DT 175. Great memories
Me too, it was a gold one :)
Im buying a yamaha dt 175 for Christmas is it good?

I should be picking up the same bike this weekend. I'm looking forward to getting it.
I had to thin the herd, so I sold this bike to my cousin. The beauty of it is, I can still ride it when I hang out with him.

I would keep checking eBay or try a local motorcycle swap meet.
Have you tried putting a air hose where the gas on off is . The air pressure will take out the dents .
Sold the bike, but like the dents. Gives it some character.
