What I have to say about the 2002 Ford Explorer: New notable changed for the Explorer includes a redesigned exterior and interior. Trims range from the base XLS, to the mid level XLT, to the Luxurious Eddie Bauer and Limited. The Explorer also now features more luxury appointments for 2002 as well as good rugged off road looks. Material quality is somewhat good. but not the best. Low resale value is also a major turn off for this SUV. All in all great SUV from Ford, hopefully it can take on the competition from the Japanese brands. Facebook Page: www.facebook.c...

I still own my 2002 XLT Explorer, I currently have 205,000 miles. It's my first and only car, and it's been really great to me. Just some normal wear and tear on the engine and replaced worn parts. Runs great, I recommend these to anyone looking for a cheaper Suv in 2017.

I had an 05 xlt and absolutely loved it, only reason I got rid of it was it was 2wd and I had it snowed in for 2 weeks, traded it for a grand Cherokee and now have an escape 4wd but I do miss having a bigger SUV, the explorer is a great option

My co-worker has a 2002 Ford Explorer with 379,000 miles. He bought it brand new. Original engine, but he did put a brand new transmission in it at one point. He said that thing is like a tank and built to last, unlike these new vehicles.

As of February 6th ,2022 , just bought a really clean 2002 ford explorer xlt for $1500 runs and drives smooth and no check engine light! Super happy ! Just have to fix the driver window because it fell off track but other than that I love it so far !

We owned a 2003 and for anyone interested or in the market for buying this vehicle and not really for sure. Well I will tell you this I loved this vehicle we bought it with 50,000 some odd miles and had it until 156,000 and only had to replace the brakes and Normal belts and hoses. If you cant afford the v8 dont even worry the4.0 v6 has plenty of power and acceleration is good also! we had cloth an xlt package, im seeing explorers well over 200,000 miles and still running strong so dont hesitate
