Just an insight: During the performance, Mico's script is the actual poetry while Xavier's lines are the dialogues they have created in response to the poetry they are assigned to. They then presented it to their teacher. That is the project they have worked on. So it's like reading poetry in the perspective of two people.

I feel like I understand, now, why many reactors think that it is easy to admit your feelings towards the other person.
Xavier and Mico, are both still in the closet, and in a conservative country, like the Philippines, where bullying and subtle homophobia still occur, it's hard to show your soft-side or true intentions.
Both of them are afraid to admit, not only their feelings, but also their identities, whether bi, gay, or any gender label.
It's not easy to risk it all. However, it is worth it for our own happiness.
In addition, Americans are more assertive and outgoing than Filipinos.

Hello Stranger is a masterpiece, sir. Please allow me to geek out. I love this series so much. You and your team did something really beautiful (and you're still doing it) the moment the first episode of this series aired. The writing truly is strong and it only keeps getting better and braver, even though the turn of events are getting sadder. It's so relatable for a lot of people who are still figuring out who they are and who they love and how they should deal with their feelings. I've definitely been both a Xavier and a Mico to another Xavier and Mico, so seeing the characters make all the choices I used to make in real life can be really, really sad. I'm just hoping that Xavier and Mico get together. Also, a second season after quarantine would be EXCITING. Thank you for this beautiful story.

I am amazed at the details you remember from these episodes. Especially since, when I checked your videos, you seem to be watching and reacting to a lot of things. And yet you still notice details like how Crystal was not helping Xavier by volunteering to do his assignments for him, or how the shirt was hanging in Xavier's room. I certainly didn't remember these details XD
Also, I don't know how it is with American men, but Filipino men are not very good at expressing emotions. Not very good at being vulnerable. I've been in similar situations myself. You stay quiet or hold back thinking it's the right thing to do, then regret it for years.

I miss Hello Stranger being a cute, hopeful series.
