Lol. I love seeing, hearing big cam lsx engines in imports like rx7, supra, etc.
I plan on swapping a big cammed lsx and supporting drivetrain (trans, fab 9 rear end, etc) in my grocery getter 2009 Lexus IS250 once the original toyota motor dies. Lol. Probably be a while since it only has 52k miles as of now. Maybe just do the swap and sell the stock motor might be better. Lol.

When you get it home, you should do a walkthrough of the car going over the chassis, drivetrain and various components. most we've seen of this car since its LS form was instagram posts.

@@karlhopkins713 He ran 9s in it last year with an LSA Supercharged LS. Pretty sure the setup out of the V1 with a powerglide

Zack Howard it got the v1’s supercharged engine and a power glide that was going into his Supra. Now the camaro has the engine and power train that was meant for the Supra project.... hope that answers your questions

You weren't sure about a 2JZ swap? It doesn't matter what its in 2J' are very well balanced motors and that's why they can handle all the power people throw at them, I have a GS300 NA that makes 450ish and could make more but I'm still running the auto trans and it's my daily but once I put a T56 in it I'm boosting it for sure
isaac shively what you got done to your gs300, I got a 95 na 2JZ that I’m looking to add a little bit of pep for a bit. I’m looking at a 2JZ aristo with a t56 to swap in but, it’ll take a bit

@dylan zrim Love my 4.0L's - had more then i can count and still got two in the driveway. Now i will be holding onto them as it's only a matter of time till they start getting snatched up by those in the States. 2J's are becoming rare and expensive here in Australia and RB's aren't exactly a dime a dozen either. Looking at getting another full FG turbo pull from a wreckers to completely rebuild aswell

Us Australians badly wanted to keep the Australian Falcon alive and were hoping Ford US would drop the Fusion in favor of the Aussie Falcon. Not bias or anything but the Falcon was such a better built car and the Barra is known for reliability and power. However there is many stories as to why they didn't. Some say the Falcon would have hurt sales of the Mustang. Others say Ford US thought the Fusion and Eco boost engines were better. Then there was others that say Ford US announced they were only making global platform cars from now on. Who really knows other then Ford. However i do know from an engineer who worked at Ford Aus. Is all the engineering documents were sent to, and archived in the Detroit Ford HQs. So Ford US has the full Australian engineering documentation from start to finish. What they will use from that is anyones guess. As for the production mouldings it's rumored they were sent to the scrap steel yard for recycling. It was a sad day for us Australian Ford fans when they closed the doors in 2016. The end of a legacy...
