Moreh is a town located on the India-Myanmar border in the Tengnoupal district of the Indian state of Manipur. Moreh is a town located in Indo-Myanmar in the Tengnoupal district of Indian State Manipur. The town is mainly inhabited by the Kuki community and a sizeable population of Meitei, Nepali, Tamil, Punjabi, Telugu, Muslim Pangal, Bihari, Marwari. Moreh plays a very important role in the Indo-Myanmar relationship and also rapidly developing as a trade point in India on the border of Myanmar. Moreh is already a huge commercial hub, and economists suggested that it could become a bustling city in the next couple of decades. The town is already seen as the commercial capital of Manipur and India's Gateway to South-East Asia.
Smuggling at Moreh has a totally cosmopolitan character. In other parts of the state, the agitation against mayanges (foreigners) continues, but at Moreh, there is perfect coexistence displayed by people from all parts of the country engaged in the common pursuit of money. Indeed, the principal operators are not Manipuris but south Indians and Bengalis whose families had crossed over from Burma during the Japanese occupation in World War II and took up smuggling after the war as the only means of remaining in touch with their original country.

Being a manipuri I loved this vlog of yours. And about INA when netaji came to manipur the manipuris whole heartedly supported netaji joined INA in the freedom struggle. Even the INA headquarter at moirang where first Indian flag was hosted by ina was house of a local manipuri man. Who gave his house to INA. Many manipuris died in the freedom struggle. But the sad thing is people of main land don't know this.

We respect you guys . Unfortunately the history we learn is not neutral . We grown up learning the history that supports the agenda of congress. The history that glorifies Mughal , underestimate Maratha Empire , project Gandhi and Nehru as sole hero of freedom struggle and rejects netaji , sardar bhagat singh , chandra shekhar azad , bal Gangadhar Tilak ,Lala Lajpat Rai , ram prasad bismil and ashfaqullah Khan.

@@realtaker02 YES YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT , in their rule they gave all the Limelight to NEHRU as if he fought alone for India's freedom but they hid the contribution of INA and Netaji coz his beliefs were not similar to Nehru . Congress played with history which suited its most , we were taught about Mughal empire in very detail but not about MARATHA empire and Shivaji maharaj who defeated mughals .

After independences many people were back to Chennai there are lots of Burma settlements in & around Chennai. There are even Burma bazaar's too in chennai where we get good things in cheap rate.

Azad Hind Fouz or INA (Indian National Army) was not a guerilla force. It was actually a regular army or force who fought positional wars against British. British army already withdrew from Kohima to avoid INA attacks which intelligence the INA lacked and they stopped their advancement. Hence, the INA could not make a different history. INA could have opted route towards Chittagong, a coastal city in Bengal, in present-day Bangladesh. Many were from Tamilnadu, Kerala, UP and so on among the 6,000 INA members who made Moreh as their home. The Nomadic Indian (Mr. Dipanshu) missed this information,

Wow! I'm from Chennai and it's mind blowing to see a full scale South Indian style temple in a small town in the north-eastern corner of India, Moreh is really a special place with all different people and historic too as it was the entry point for Netaji's army.
Nobody does it like Deepanshu bhai... I've seen quite a few travel vlogs about people crossing from India to Myanmar through Moreh, but nobody else has covered the specialities of this place as you have. This is Nomadic Indian special and this is why I consider you to be the best travel vlogger in India.

I really appreciate the spirit of people and very thankful to my grand parents and parents for the kind of life we live now. The stories I heard from my grandfather during the WW 2 Japanese invasion on Burma and how they had to walk past the borders and reach Calcutta surviving the bombers and losing their loved once during their journey is unimaginable. If you come to Chennai you can find a market called Burma bazar opposite to Chennai GPO which was set by people who were refugees from Burma during 60's.

@@bittertruth6953 you didn't get my point.. do all the mongoloid race follow the same religion and culture?
i agree with your point that they are also spread all over the world but look at the timeline it took them thousands of years and they are further divided into sub ethnicities a native south american is way different in features than a native Siberian and their practices and cultures be also so much different
on the other hand when i mentioned Sikhs and not Punjabis i meant the people from same faith and culture are spread across the places where they are complete minority and this happened in a relatively much smaller timeline sikhism less than a thousand years old religion

@@vipin395 Yes , Its called shamanistic religion it has different branch and names in different place, like kirati of nepal, shamans of South and North America, Tengrism of Mongolia, Sanamahism of Manipur etc. however when mongol people have also adoped all the foreign religion along with that like in North America you will find a native american following Christianity but few still follow their original Shamanistic religion, in east Russia mongols will be found following both Tengrism and Christianity, in Kazakistan , Turkey in central most will follow Islam but some still follow their tribal shamanistic religion, similarly in Nepal some will follow Buddism and HInduism , but still some population will follow their original kirati religion a kind of shamanistic religion, in north east India you will find christians , hindus and muslims but some still follow their original Shamanistic religion like Sanamahism of Manipur and so on in entire East and South East Asia etc.
Basically mongolian people follow all kinds of religion along with their original.
