No Hate mail from me!! I totally understand. A project with sentimental value is MUCH more important than some idea of keeping an old tractor ... an old tractor. Use the parts from it to complete the IMPORTANT project!! The trailer project is looking pretty good too!! Keep up the good work and good luck with the squirrels!! 😁
you bought it do with it what you want too .. Sorry too hear about Chris .. I live in western NY we just had over a ft of snow 95 percent of it is now melted away , been working on my new place we got a year ago .. getting ready to put pole barn tin for the ceiling ,, with insolation above that ,, its a 30 x 40 pole barn 10 ft 6 inch ceiling had to get a drywall lift so I can put up the tin .. plus getting a old deere going too plow snow ,, never enough hours in a day .. worked for a repair company many years till I got hurt,, asked a customer what they did too the mower they said nothing ,, ask how do you put gas in ,, they put the tank back in backwards gas cap under the dash ,, never trust what people say ,, check for yourself is the right answer.. keep us updated on the mowers and the shop .. stay safe ..
That's actually a great idea ! I think Hairbender ( Chris ) would approve ! I can actually get used to watching sprockets garage again somewhat regularly . Godspeed Doc
I think what your doing honoring a wish list on chris's tractor is very fitting and pretty classy of you Doc. I'm sure he is looking down and smiling, Donkey is an awesome machine and now its simply going to be a beast. I cannot wait to see this reconstruction its going to be bad ass.
With these older out of production tractors you have to dedicate some for parts tractors. I think this tractor is a perfect candidate for a parts tractor. Or an experimental tractor.
great idea for the swamp donkey . Kind of late now but swap the axle under the springs and spin it from rite to left to get the toe wright then if you need you can make new shackles for extra load clearance .
I'm toying with the idea, but stuck between low deck height and nothing interrupting the deck. I've got all winter to bat ideas around. I just needed it functional now, and it is. Thanks for the input!
hahaha! yeah don't trust anyone selling a tractor. you got it. compression relief on my 18 hp hydrostatic yardman was one cylinder of 2 having the wrong exhaust valve and seat dangling around in the space and guide. the seller said oh i think it has a bad coil so only runs on one cylinder. to refer to another of your videos, yes they do buy multiple of the same tractors at auction, say from local gov't, industry, etc, strip the good parts and build a good tractor then sell so uninformed sucker like the crap at crazy prices. anyway, enjoy your videos.
No hateful comments here, that tractor looks like a bunch of things slapped together, offset steering shaft, the rear looks to be from a car cut down to fit the frame and the tractor grill that's from a tractor, was gonna say call it Frankenstein lol! But it's being parted out so no,life throws curveballs sometimes but we have to deal with it as adults,RIP chris..damn squirrels!
Totally awesome tractor!!!! Just joined your facebook group.Thank you my friend and new friends...

Believe it or not, that's all factory! The thing is ugly and beaten, but primarily stock. It IS a collector, so someone's gonna be upset for sure
