Thank you Swiss for letting us know about the latest so far on this terrible news. Us aviation lovers need to come together and show our support to the hero pilots that fought to the end to save lives.
It's not "bullet holes" in the aircraft, it's shrapnel from an exploding anti-air missile. They don't hit the plane, the get close to the plane and explode and send shrapnel to take out the plane. That is the big boom, and the reason they lost hydraulic fluid, and the overhead masks dropped due to loss of cabin pressure. The reason the plane shows it flying up and down is because they had no hydraulics, and the pilots had to try to hand fly it in with damaged vertical and horizontal stabilizers. My only question is, was it fired at while still over Russia or after it diverted across the sea.
This is a very tragic event, so thank you, Swiss, for making this explanation and spreading the word for others. For such a tragedy to happen on Christmas day is gruesome and unimaginable. Rest in peace to the individuals who have passed away and my biggest respect to the pilots. I can only imagine their fear, fighting for life. My non professional armature take on it, Having studied and followed many aircraft crashes and reports, this aircraft was defiantly hit by something with much evidence to support this, external, internal damage and passenger reports. It would appear that the crew were able to maintain controlled flight until they lost elevator and rudder control most likely due to hydraulic fluid loss as a result of damaged components in the tail section. Purely speculation on my behalf regarding the actual sequence of events but its logical that something along these lines took place Not like the Russians haven't done this before. RIP those that died and bravado to the aircrew that came so close to succeeding in saving this from disaster
It’s hard to ignore the holes in the tail, it’s quite obvious it was shot down and once we find out who the airspace around the area needs to be permanently closed
When i first heard about it, i was shock. About 7 hours after the accident, Russia say it was a bird strike. However, a new video reveal many holes kind of looks like bullet holes in the tail section of the E190 where some passengers and crew survive. It was at that point, i realized that the aircraft could be shotdown. Not only that was confirm, they also say maybe Russia made a mistake and not long after that, i agree with that. This was an accidental shotdown just like Iran Air 655 by US and MH17 by Russia.
This is very sad, my condolences to the families affected by this incident and to the ones that survived I hope they recover as soon as possible. As of right now Russia has been acting very ghetto which is very bad because I've alway wanted to travel and see some sights over there at some point in time.
yeah, and the big diffrence is that the IR655 was a genuine misidentification during active live combat using old inaccurate technology, whereas the Russian ones was almost all intentional, if not straight out all being intentional, most happening while they where not in active combat, and with this one also being inexcusable as they should be able to tell drones from a airliner, it cant be anything but extreme incompetence, or intentional.
If this is caused by a missile hit or a gun hit then I must say it did surprisingly little damage than I thought it would. It could be because the engine ingested a large bird when it initiately attempted to land (while modern aircraft engines are bird-proof to some degree, ingesting, say a flock of geese, can still mess it up). Something from the engine could have disintegrated and the shrapnels could have damaged the fuselage as shown in the video.
Honestly I don’t think there was a COMPLETE control failure. It appears the jet was in some control for a while-possibly the pilots decided to crash land on the flat beach on purpose, which I don’t blame them. Maybe a gradual loss of control instead of an immediate one?
I was thinking midway through losing controls they tried to move toward the beach until all hydraulic controls failed causing that slow rolling motion we see in the footage
We're at the end of the year and we got another crash, I'd like to appreciate both of the pilots who tried to save the aircraft, R.I.P to the passengers and crew onboard who sadly died.

I genuinely thought everyone kept saying the plane literally got shot down by a missile but its just some small holes from shrapnel of the missile. I would not believe a second that one whole missile shot down that aircraft, cause it would’ve been like Malaysia 17 (whole plane getting shot down).
It feels so horrible to see crashes that could have been avoided.. You can see the plane was somewhat stable until that final free fall. This is eerily similar to United 232 but instead it was hit by a freaking missile. Godspeed
If it was hit by pantsir, it would have fallen out of the sky, and also, pantsir M or s1 has a 31kg warhead in each missile, and that would split the plane in half and fall out of the sky on impact with the missile, this looks like a bomb going off somewhere, as the bullet holes are on the sides and top too, if it was hit it would be side too side or bottom too top. It makes sense that this airspace was closed as ukraine recently hit civilian buildings in that area and GPS jamming and spoofing would make sense, as ukranian drones use a commercial drone GPS, nothing like GLONASS. But it wouldnt make sense to be pantsir as it would have to be in the 60km range for its missiles, now it would make more sense if it was flak fire, as that spreads more shrapnel around the aircraft making the damage on the wing, tail and mid fuselage more realistic, but Russia doesnt use any to my knowledge. This could be a case of terrorists in the region with a MANPAD because the damage looks very minimal but spread out, similar to what a MANPAD does, specifically the stinger variants, because Igla and Verba hit directly, only bigger Russian systems (S-400 S-350 S-300 S-500) have proximity fuses. Proximity fuses aren’t the best thing to have when shooting at fighter sized targets, as it only cripples them, and in the case of the VKS Su-25 and Su-34, they make it back to base perfectly fine after being hit once or twice. I believe it was terrorist in that region as it has been very unstable for the past 2 years, so it would make sense.
Absolutely interesting. Completely false information. But interesting idea. A quick Google search will tell anyone interested in the Pantsir S1, that they only use 57E6 multiple continuous-rod/fragmentation warheads to cut down on costs. I might be completely wrong but it almost looked like the pilot possibly tried to land the plane twice on the large road before turning again to approach the airport.
But uppn reviewing the footages that I got. I can say it could possibly be a hydraulic failure as well. The holes are closer to the tail section. And according to Flightradar data, the ground speed and altitude were fluctuating like hell and the rudder and ailerons failed to move in the footage. I think it's probably a hydraulic failure leading to a loss if control. But lets see what the investigation board says
I got the squawk 7700 on FlightRadar24 and watched it fly around the airport before it froze kind of by the beach by the airport. It then disappeared completely. I saw on the news later that it crashed. I was so sad to see that so many people died, and I had watched their fate from the other side of the world. R.I.P to everyone lost in this crash.

It's the small compartment door that was open due to air pressure that caused the crash.
What do you mean another? Cause MH17 wasn't.
TWA800 was accidentally shot down in 1996 by the US... they covered that up nicely too.
thats an embraer, not sure why its getting confused with A220 alot.
Bodies aren't even in a box and people are online speculating and making pretty baseless assumptions.
the photos of the damage tells a clear story. those are not bird holes
But lets see what the investigation board says
rest in peace to all people who were lost this is insanse. This is not a good year for aviation 😭
Fr not a good year of aviation 😢
I feel so sorry for Azerbaijan and all the families who lost there loved one in this tragedy. may they rest in peace
Thats why the Tail is saver than the front (6:15)
The crashed landing look like UAL 232.
Edit:
How birds could do holes like that? I think it's by bullets...
I tracked it as it went down too
i believe it was russia because they have done it before in 2014
Merry Christmas Nick, nice to see your neutral report of this crash. I love your authentic choice of words
Bird strike? Maybe an explosive metallic bird
Santa is crying after seeing this crash
How do people mix up an ERJ with a drone?
Bullet holes? More like shrapnel from fragmentation anti-aircraft missiles.
Very sad that some of the first and last major incidents of 2024 are both air disasters (Jan 2nd Japan airlines runway incursion at Haneda, and now Christmas Day Azerbaijan airlines shoot down)
Really nice video Swiss and really nice explaining, but i remebered when you said you´d never make any videos of planes crashing 🙈
This is not what I wanted to see right after I woke up. My condolences to those who lost their lives.
If the mayday plane was actually denied an emergency landing at Russian airports and not because of the weather, that kinda messed up. Especially if the plane was shot by their own weapons…
Rest in Peace
I don’t know why, but adding ‘!’ Seems wrong
@@FA18ESuperHornet ok
The way he didnt say the names of the people who support him at the end of the video.
Rest In Peace 🙏🏻
7:39 yes lots of us are maybe panicking or sad maybe there loved ones were on the plane but before we get anything answers we have to wait and as a person who hate politics we should’ve blame anyone yet before we point any fingers we have to investigate
as a malaysian ive always hoped this wouldnt happen but someone needs to highlight the cremlin's warcrimes at this point...
This is truly sad, im praying for nothing else for the rest of the year
May all the people rest in peace. Amen
Pantisir dont leave me alone even wen i leave war thunder, gaijin pls nerf!
Huh?
1:46-What the hell are you talking about? People are telling it was a birdstrike, casual birds flying at mach 1, why u don't understand? They are F-seagulls, more known as "Fgulls-the predators of the sea. They are the only weapons that are capable of destroying F-22 raptors, without using a single missile.
Now seriously, the fact that after losing control of the plane the pilots managed to save a large number of lives is incredible, true heroes. Pilots are built differently though, I would cry and wait for death. And i saw many comments like-Why they didn't land on sea? People are so braindead, it hurts me inside. Cringe, just cringe.
7:22-Remember this?-> th-cam.com/video/S8W0DqZ0S5k/w-d-xo.html It was in time, when Russia was controlling Ukraine.
Pilot-It's impossible to fly, i don't know the details, i don't know where the crowd is. it's dangerous!
higher up's-U need to fly, go!
Pilot-OK
*full throttle does not work, can't climb*
*PILOT CRASHES*
Higher ups-I told u u should not fly, it's your fault! Why did u crash into a crowd???!!111one
It will be the same with this catastrophe. Azer i think it's in good relationship with Russia, maybe im wrong and i hope i am, but i am almost sure they will blame pilots, or other "forces". Once Again, the pilots did incredible job, well done, but i'm sad that we will never ever know the truth. Maybe in 20 years, we will know.
RIP to all who died ❤🙏
More and more crashes this year 😢
silly comment about Airbus ~5:00
they don't have control yokes
either their radar is fucked up or they genuinely got confused
