Based Paul is Based. Great to hear you saying this, was having a conversation about training for my church safety team earlier this evening. We had the closest thing to a potential event ever for us this past Sunday and are preparing for service tomorrow. Thanks again Paul, youre a national treasure.
Your channel is under appreciated and it makes me sick. I’m tired of all the big TH-camrs. Thank you for giving this information to us. Please make some more in depth training videos if you have the time. Thank you sir!
Mr. Howe's credentials, knowledge, and practical experience are essentially beyond reproach. I really appreciate how he articulates his points and that his worldview is compatible with mine.
Understanding cover/concealment, angles and spatial awareness, shoot/no-shoot are essential for anyone who carries a gun. Cqb seems to compress that and makes for a great training tool. Great video. Thanks Paul. 👍
Not unless the trainer knows what the hell they are doing. I've been involved with a local security company who though they were ex-military, didn't seem to have their sh!t together and could have easily gotten someone killed on the good guy side. I'm sure you can tell that I'm not associated with this group any longer and turned in my credentials years ago because of it. If things pop off, my 1st job is to protect those around me 1st as the chance of saving everybody is a wet dream of some and a reality of others. I'm no hero, never been, never will be so keep it practical and train your azz off if you want to make a difference, no matter how big or small. Thank you for your service past and for what you do now sir.
Sims is good training, but often/usually turns into paintball grabass if not tightly controlled. In a recent training evolution, I was admonished for making a text book hostage rescue shot, something I was trained and evaluated on at another place of employment, every six months. However, the multiple blue on blue shootings, were never addressed. Ego also tends to drive training, amongst other things
Well put as always Paul. You need to be well rounded and capable in shooting, tactics, and strategy. Those that think you have to be a grand master or a delta operator to be a very lethal individual haven’t been paying attention.
Brought up facts, showed actual case studies, and had evidence to support his view rather than give a half-drunk rambling of a poorly though-out opinion. This is how professionals and subject matter experts present their perspective.
Absolutely yes civilians should be trained to protect their family and others as a group to work together safety in numbers the police can't be everywhere it's up to you or someone else stay safe
That church footage is a difficult watch. I'd presume most of those armed have at least been briefed on what to do if/when. Just a simple breakdown into teams with subtasks could have mitigated some of those mistakes. What would another bad guy showing up have done to that clear lack of security?
What most civilians in a non LEO, security, etc. role need is HOME DEFENSE tactics not CQB tactics. Sadly, not as much info or courses for it as there is CQB. And most people cant distinguish between the two, thanks Paul
When I started, you get swamped with LE/Gov work. You try to change for the positive what you can, knowing the inbred culture and low standards. When LE fails to pick up the sword, like in Uvalde, you go to those who will. Training at the state level is substandard and subsidized with grants and directives to government funded trainers who likely taught 80% of the first responders in Uvalde. The state continues to throw money at failed training systems like all of a sudden, it will start working. Politics.
Paul, could you speak on CQB for infantry units in a total war scenario? That is, we've prepped an urban objective with IDF and tanks, and are clearing with no consideration for CIVCAS?
I think the new paradigm is to use FPV drones to take out the enemy. I have seen video of kamikaze drones being used for cqb in Ukraine and non-kinetic camera drones used to search buildings by US law enforcement.
I would be unqualified to speak much on it. We can go back to WWII techniques in Europe and Pacific Islands and read of their tactics. Now add drones, EW, jamming, CBA in the mix and it gets complicated. The Combined Arms Team of my day as gotten a lot more complex with more players in the ranks.
CSAT will send out a MTT (mobile training team). We encourage live fire work before sims. Take a look at our Guardian 1 course. Once you get the live fire training the sims will be more effective.
"Be prepared or be a victim"
Absolutely true don't outsource your safety.
Former LE and couldn’t agree more, God Bless You Paul!!

Fantastic information. Thank you
Great presentation and ideas

Great video. Highly underrated channel

Great down to earth explanation. CSAT is always spot on.
Absolutely. Civilians should have the same opportunities.
CSAT always bringing the reality check 😃
IMO, even if you're unlikely to ever be in a CQB type situation, training for it improves all of your skills that you might use elsewhere.
Good point!
Excellent video with rock solid advice. I have passed this video along to several church security team leaders I know.
Well put as always Paul. You need to be well rounded and capable in shooting, tactics, and strategy. Those that think you have to be a grand master or a delta operator to be a very lethal individual haven’t been paying attention.
As ALWAYS, excellent critique and good, solid, advice.
THANK YOU SIR!
👍
Well said. Couldn’t agree more with pushing mind set with tactics.

Great view point, thank you for what you do.

Yes.
But need solid fundamentals above all else first.
Thank you for sharing, Paul.
Knowledge is power!
Very informative 👍🏽
Excellent video, thank you.
Much better than the never ending drunken ramblings of another “trainer” here on youtube.
I'm positive that you're referring to Matt Pranka.
His white knighting army will be by shortly to inform you why you're wrong.
Excellent video!

Paul- Totally agree with you here. Wasn’t there a time when CSAT was LEO/MIL only? What changed your mind on the subject?

@@paulhowe5863 keep doing the lords work, training the good guys and speaking truth to power.
Thank you sir!
This is a great take.
Right on (as always) 🇺🇸
Good video! Thank You!
The csat wayyyy 👏👏❤️
3 minutes...and I'm the first to comment! Don't have anything particularly pertinent to add but I just wanted to be the first!

We're all civilians
But not all are citizens
@jonc4050 good point
Are there any companies in Texas that will come out to a church and do training ?
Praelctus Training

Can't get any better than CSAT.
