    I don't know if they are the same but I drove my BMW K1100 almost 100,000 miles with play in the wheel. It never got worse and there was never any shavings or other signs of wear in the oil( which I changed every 5,000 miles).
    It had 158,000 miles on when it self-destructed. Awesome motorcycle!

    Respectfully, Wouldnt the slack remaining when the rear brake is applied indicate the gearbox >final drive u-joints are the problem? And if it didnt rattle that would point to the rear wheel berings are shot?

    When you remove bolts, put them back in their holes whilst you work. Saves losing them or being confused what goes where. Ask me how I know that one.

    Can't help agreeing with jeunus DC. Wouldn't holding the brake on, lock the wheel with the housing. Any play would be at the pivot points.

    Thank you for sharing your maintenance videos,I love to see how clean you work.
    I own r1250 gs (see on my channel) and I see many similarities between the 1150 and the 1250.
    I don’t have many miles on my bike because the winter in Canada is long. Cheers.

    What about "blooper" warning at🤣👍🤦‍♂
    29:55...
    Blooper happens to all of us, but either we don't take a video or we take a video but we don't share it.
    My blooper: This week I spilled 250 cc of fine coolant on my floor.

    Is de hefbrug kapot, jammer dat gesleuteld op de knieën

    • @TheOldMechanic
      @TheOldMechanic  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hoi Rien, hij is niet kapot, maar ik vind mijn hefbrug aan beetje wiebelig, vandaar dat ik hem eigenlijk niet zoveel gebruik. Misschien moet ik hem toch maar eens goed nakijken, want sommige draaipunten hebben wat speling. Ik moet ook wel eerlijk bekennen dat ik op mn knieen zitten eigenlijk helemaal niet erg vind. gr
