- "THE FUTURE" is an awesome new mod for The Binding of Isaac Repentance that adds an entire new floor to the game which accessed through the "Steven NPC". Steven has a unique dialogue for every single character in the game as well as over 30 modded characters like Fiend, Andromeda and Samael! This video is a showcase of every single one of them, enjoy!

I found a bug in Fiend Folio, where if you get a package in final chapter, on the start of new run you will get the deler
I love how tainted lost is invisible even to this guy. That makes sense and is really cool.
On top of that, these kind of (yes unofficial) lore bits are just wonderful

i really love that custom floor transition screen, it's so seamless and such a fun lil detail that really makes the whole mod stand out even more i think
This mod is actually pretty well done. I like how it changes with each character
i love how most of the dialogue is profound, and then there's the car interaction....

I love that the mod has API functionality for character mod creators to add their own dialogue. I've been working on a character mod for a while and found out about this feature very recently and decided to add in some dialogue. THE FUTURE is so goddamn cool
this mod reminds me of Nuclear Throne. Wish there would be more Mods like this and that we could see more special Floors.

I love how Steven treats everyone like a guest, but when the car comes in he just thinks it’s some drunk driver doing donuts around him, he probably opened his mouth to the future because he wanted to scream 😅

Tarnished Judas would probably get something about the shadows similar to Jacob and Esau, like "I gotta gobble up all those people in one go?"

If they don't add them you guys should do it instead cause in my opinion it's a really charming way to add a bit of character to the mods, maybe you can give them some "lore bits" of sorts too!
Love how "ONE FOR YOU" is capitalized since the Keeper has virtually the same design as Greed, who'd probably want more than ONE.
The T. Samael one unronically is my favorite, just the comment that Steven got chills out of nowhere is such a good quote to what is essentially being in the oressence of Death Itself
before it was jsut a silly "oh you lookin for soemone? might know a place?"
But T. Sam is different, he just comes into a room and reaps witohut a second though, all that follows him is a chilling underworld aura of terror

Tainted Martha used to have a more hilarious interaction before the mod was released but they changed it

I love how it alternates between being ominous, funny, or both. The Andromedas especially, going from “Tarot cards are bullshit, I’ll show you the *real* future”, to “I wonder if the void has a fate of its own…”. These guys have a great sense of writing.

I love this mod so much, and they nailed Steven’s style here because he looks like he’s ripped straight out of The End is Nigh, just teleported into the Binding of Isaac. I didn’t know Steven had dialogue for modded characters, too, which is really cool! (Plus the Peat and Car dialogue is also hilarious) Hope to see more dialogue for new characters soon, seeing that theres placeholder dialogue too.

the fact they made the car dialouge really short is actually nice from a gameplay standpoint because staying in one room as car for a while isn't impossible but it's boring

So I'm pretty sure the Dante dialogue is a reference to the fact that the divine comedy (whose most famous part is more known as Dante's inferno) is basically Christian fanfiction, and very, very biased Christian fanfiction. Dante hated the catholic church of his day so he wrote a story about himself journeying through heaven and hell, mocking the church and various people he didn't like.
That explains Satan being stuck in ice inside those Devil Rooms

I, personally, as in to say it’s something I would’ve liked and doesn’t actually need to be the case, would’ve very much enjoyed if Steven spoke more seriously about each character. Excluding joke character appearances because duh.
It would’ve been a lot harder to have written meaningful commentary but it would’ve given me personal story joy because I always love that stuff. Something like for Cain: “You cover one eye to cry twice as much from the other. Is half your future sad, or all of it?”
Steven's jokes for some of these actually kinda sound like something Edmund would writr, so,
